Hello all,

In your opinion, what's the very best argument for the existence of God? Conversely, what's the top argument against the existence of God? Interested to hear your responses and subsequent reasoning. Thanks! ;)
What do you mean - "God"??

Define "popcorn" :)

In the context that I use the term, I am referring to kernels of maize that have had hot air or oil applied until the inner moisture boils, expands, and bursts the outer shell (with an audible "pop"), producing a light snack that can be tasty and low on calories, depending on the toppings used. My personal preference is for the hot air popper, with real butter and just a bit of salt added. The term can also be used in a virtual sense, to indicate the presence of a observing but non-participant in an internet discussion board thread, by the use of a popcorn-consuming animated graphic, commonly known as a "smiley".

Not specific enough. Define "p" :)

For: The fine-tuning argument. It at least has to make you think -- though at best, it can only prove that a god used to exist, and it doesn't have to be the Christian god.

Against: I dunno. I've always thought of most atheistic arguments as saying that theists haven't proven their case yet, not that there is no god.

I have a huge problem with this because it makes the claim that these billions of stars and planets are here for this one planet. The problem here is that it just makes no sense why all of this is necessary.

We're simply in a life permitting range of conditions and it's running out.The conditions WLC are mentioning ARE being moved. Eventually they will reach a point where life cannot survive. That doesn't sound like an argument for God or design. Just the law of entropy.

WLC takes this and just FLIES to the moon saying it proves God

Transcendental argument is a semantic game. It simply says that philosophical axioms can't exist without God. It's rubbish.

The argument from the primacy of existence. Against.

Edit: Oops, once again clicked on the wrong quote button. Sorry.

That's just, like, your opinion man.

Like no man, that's actually the argument. If you want to discuss it we can. I think God is probable, but the transcendental argument is smoke and mirrors.
