There are a lot of opinions both FOR and AGAINST Benny Hinn. The most important thing we can do is to keep our eyes on Jesus. Benny Hinn did not die on the cross and shed his blood for us. He is a man just like we are, and he puts his pants on the same way we do [unless, of course, he clips them to the side of the dresser, and takes a running leap into both pants legs at the same time].
I have serious doubts about Benny Hinn's ministry. The things I am most concerned about, from most to least, are these:
1. The creature comforts of his lavish lifestyle while he simultaneously says he doesn't have enough to fund a certain ministry project
2. The origins and outworkings of his doctrine
3. The veracity and verifiability of the crusade miracles
4. The attitude that "this money's for God; you have no right to know how it's being spent" that avoids the publishing of financial reports
5. The continual cycle of having to repent of doctrinal error after having been reproved so many times before in the same area; makes you wonder if change has happened
6. The knee-jerk response that "who are you to criticize me, because I'm God's anointed, and so judgment of eternal fire will be on you and your household to 1000 generations"
7. The angry lashing out at others who dare to stand up to him
8. The inability to directly give a straight answer serious questions about his doctrines and practices
9. The defense of innocence; acting like a naive small child when confronted like he knows nothing
10. The equating of criticizing or questioning Benny, with that being tantamount to attacking God himself
The things I like about Benny Hinn:
1. His unabashed belief in healing
2. The worship atmosphere in the crusades.
3. Benny's desire to be sensitive to the Lord.
4. The mighty demonstrations of God's power
5. The expectancy he evokes in people
6. The child-like character of soft-heartedness
7. The crusade music
8. The joy
9. A desire for reverence to God
10. The invoking of the Holy Spirit
