Words generate from thoughts, and thoughts from what is in the heart.

Is that not true, Ted?

Hi brinny,

Yes, that is true. WORDS generate from what is in the heart. You don't seem to understand that I'm not talking about WORDS. Anyway, that's now been hashed and rehashed. Go your way, friend.

God bless you,
In Christ, ted

The bottom line, Ted, is that i was referring to what is in the "heart". That is what God looks on.

Is it not?

Hi brinny,

Yes it is! However, no one is accusing Benny Hill of being born again. Just that he's a reasonably clean person in his use of humor. That's all. I'm not trying to make him a child of God. That's between him and God. There are a lot of comedians out there that I would strongly suspect aren't born again believers in the one true God, but there's a line that I'm not willing to cross in my acceptance of humor. For me, Mr. Hill hasn't crossed it often. The OP wasn't asking if any of us believed Mr. Hill to be a christian. It was only asking about his humor and I gave my answer. You have yours.

I try not to be too overly condemning of the lost world as I live within it. There's enough really wicked stuff to worry about in that regards. I can let my hair down and enjoy a good laugh once in a while without feeling that I've come under condemnation by listening to someone else's words or by showing my approval of those words by laughing at their humor. For me, if Mr. Hill's humor was the ultimate in worldly humor, the world would be a lot better off for it.

Your take on that is probably going to be that I'm settling for the lesser of two evils. Maybe? I'm not solidly convinced that in the eternal existence we won't, from time to time, make one another laugh. After all, studies show that laughter is good for the heart and may likely be good for the soul.

God bless you,
In Christ, ted
