Of course Netanyahu's policies are going to get a lot more people killed. This is in keeping with the reality of escalation in a recurring conflict in which both sides can point to something that the other has done that justifies what they themselves do or will do. Surely you've seen spoiled children fight and then try to justify why it's fine that they've come to blows over whatever nonsense they were fighting over? "They started it!" "Nuh uh! THEY started it!" This is just that, except one side has tanks, fighter jets, and nuclear weapons, while the other has the types of seemingly-random outbursts of violence that you always see in asymmetric warfare in the modern day (e.g., kidnappings, beheadings, bombings, etc.). You could say the exact same thing about the policies of Hamas and you wouldn't be wrong there, either.

i am speaking to the bigger picture ... for example Turkey is in the process of transiting 100 battle ships to the med and Iran has openly stated it will not follow US warnings of staying out of the conflict ... and its reported that the US has in tha last day sent over 50 transports of ammo and troops by plane to Israel, do you not think or can we rightly assume that Turkey and Iran have put aside their differances and are now coroperating strategicaly with regard to their militarely response in this esculating war which Pakistan and Iraq will surely enter the fray should it kick of big ...

I support Isreal's defence of itself and its people. I can liken it to if a gang came to my families home and kept targeting the family and despite trying to work things out the gang kept threatening and attacking. Eventually if there is no resolution something has to give. Perhaps the recent attack is like the gand crossed the line and took a daughter or son or two or three family members.

There comes a time where you have to act for the protection of yourself and your family and I think the recent attack was the catalyst that caused the Isreali's to react. They have continually been willing and open to negociation and compromise but unfortunately in some Arab nations religious dictators take control and part of their DNA is never to negociate and to exterminate the Jews. Sound familar.

But I do worry now like some, perhaps a growing number about how far should the Isreali's go. I understand they want to free their people from Gaza. Maybe thats part of their DNA as well, they have always been oppressed and attacked and are use to fighting back for what they believe is a just cause.

Nevertheless when we hear about innocent Palestinians and I mean those who want peace and a better life and not some Caliphate. I just hope the Isreali's are carful and try to minimize casualties. Which I believe they have been trying to do for the most part.

But I agree with others that we need to remind ourselves that Isreal did not start this Hamas did. Just like ISIS, Al-Qa'ida, the Taliban, Hizballah, Islamic State, Palestinian Islamic Jihad have done and will continue to do and not just to Isreali's but to many Western nations and their people.

It seems extremism is growing and not getting any better. We are even becoming tribal with our own Western nations. Whether that was a tactic by the Muslims I don't know. But something needs to change.

I didn't say that you said that they were not Jews. The point is to challenge this view of Israel as being the necessary and natural protector of Jews. That doesn't seem to be the case to the majority of them, if we take where they live as an indication of who is actually doing the protecting (though of course things could always be better vis-a-vis American and European anti-semitism).

But first, Damascus will get destroyes as propecised in Isaiah 17. Also, Israel currently has allies in usa and other countries, but in the war of Ezekiel, they have no one, so something will have to happen for everyone to abandon Israel, what that will be, I don't know. I believe what is currently happening will lead into the war of Ezekiel 38.

All these things have to happen for Israel not to call on other nations for help, but to call for God.
