CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Yes, long time ago. However, any thoughts I've had about it have really been changed after seeing a video taped interview with the director(I think thats who it was).

Thats the one with Charleton Heston (sp?) right? If so they people who put it together woved a love story between him and his male friend into it without letting Heston in on it. Didn't really catch it while a child, but after it was pointed out by the director-producers its pretty incredibly obvious.
Check out "Hollywood Unmasked" that was produced by www.goodfight.org absolutely incredible collection of taped interviews with the directors, producers, and screenwriters of alot of major movies. Can't really deny some things when they're gleefully admitting it on camera. If you can, I'd even more so recommend their "They Sold their Souls for Rock and Roll" documentary.. (4 hr version)... its a lifechanging video. I've lent copies to lots of people, including non-christians and even they can't listen to alot of music anymore by certain bands-singers.

I saw some of that too, I'm not sure it destroyed the movie for me though, I mean I didn't notice it originally either and I know Heston wasn't in on it. Pretty yucky if true though...
