  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I fellowship with my 15 year old daughter and my 13 year old son almost everyday over these things and how it applies to our everyday living it out, let alone others I come in contact throughout the day and those I e-mail and talk on the phone with, (these things are ever before me).

The one's who become offended are always the ones that feel they see.

As for me, I am becoming more and more as the little child everyday, as the Father again and again opens things up to me to big for my brain to receive.

I think that's one thing I have come to learn over the yrs. that my brain cannot comprehend the things of God, they must be embraced through faith.
And I believe that's why so many get offended today, when you don't give proper scripture to back up what you are seeing and hearing in the Spirit.

It's the story beneath the words in the pages that we're seeing like a watermark, or should I say a River-mark.

Anyhow I know from experience that Religion cannot receive these things because they cannot be documented with pen and ink, but are being written on the heart,
We should be "Living Epistles" read of all men.

I think it's great that your able to share these things with your family, I have a dear brother in Christ right now, that is not able to share with his wife or daughter, they have literally turned against him. But by the Grace of God, as he says, how can I turn away from the one who speaks from Heaven to me, little ole me.

Oh, I can understand what you just said. You must be on your meds this morning. So let's get this straight. Those(which is everyone besides your loved ones and closest friends) who don't understand your prattle are those who do not see, while you, the prattler on the other hand, is the only one who is constantly gaining in wisdom, how rich

P.S. Now that you've proven your sanity by having two upstanding teenagers, your incoherent praddle should never be questioned. And being that you're so liberal with all your fellowshiping, we can all be thankful for being in your presence.
I now can see why you speak your parablistic-prattle. It protects you from disclosing your woeful self-centeredness. I sincerely hope you don't torture your loved ones and friends in this manner:hug:

The command is clear, do not confound the Church... Otherwise, you seek self edification. Besides, if your elders in faith don't understand you, then how may they rebuke your arrogance when needed? Well, that's an easy one, I just did.

I don't recognize that command, God is not the Author of confusion, this is true.
And there should not be confusion in the Church, and yet there is much.
And as far as Self Edification, you just proved that in yourself, when you referred to yourself as being my Elder. If you were my Elder, then you would understand what I say, and not be confused, for there is ONLY Unity found in The Spirit.

Don't confuse Understanding something, (that you may not,) with arrogance, or else how will you grow. Has it ever occurred to you to try the Spirit, to see if it is truly of God or not. Or do you just reject anything that is not something you have come to know as of yet? Your real good at slander, but what about Love and compassion? What about loving even your enemies which I assume you think we are.

2knowhim and x141 clearly were not confusing each other. They were edifying each other. And they are the church, too, brother. Now maybe you don't enjoy their conversation, and maybe they should start another thread where they can be perfectly on topic, but otherwise, I don't understand your rebuke.

If you are an elder in the faith, then you should know what's important. The blood of Christ, the gifts of the Spirit, the justice of our Father. That's what's important. Whether or not the curtain could be symbolic of a hymen doesn't even make the list of tertiary issues. So why bring the hammer down?

The command is clear: have salt among yourselves and live at peace with one another.

God bless :)

Ignoring what I said doesn't justify reveling in self-absorbed prattle. Call it what you will, it never stops till I've put my foot down, then suddenly every utterance becomes clear. Think about it.

If it's helpful, then also:

Matthew 10:34-40 King James Version
34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.
37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
38 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.
39 He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.
40 He that receiveth you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me.

besides, I've never known you to prattle on like that.

For our beloved brother to contrast his growth in wisdom while his distractors all are blind for our disapproval, is all too revealing.

You are absolutely right. I don't prattle. And yet, though I am not a prattler, I can find comfort and peace in my brothers and sisters prattling on with each other. Not because I understand everything they are saying, not because we share all the same doctrines about hymens and what not. But because in Christ we are of one accord.

This whole business about living in peace with one another was the toughest commandment we could have received. Don't we all believe that we 'see' things that others don't (or won't!). And don't we all feel the need to correct each other into a bunch of Stepford Christians that look just... like ...me?

Jesus said that "by your fruits you will know them" and don't you see that these two have brought the Lord's peace to each other in the course of this thread? Surely you see that they have understood each other and that they are both standing under the canopy of God's grace.

So the word that each had for the other wasn't for you or for me. So what? God has plenty of words to go around, and we musn't be stingy. Instead, let's rejoice with those who rejoice ...even if we don't understand what they are rejoicing about.

God bless :)

Seeing eyes, you are to funny for words. Thank you for understanding, I don't mean to prattle either. I'm a down home country girl from Florida. But it's funny, when we enter into spiritual matters there must be a shifting of gears, that go from, operation to observation. I get caught up in what I'm hearing and seeing in X's post, and it thrills me to no end.

It's just so rare today, that you find someone that talk about these things that you've been seeing glimpses of for a while. And I know it must sound like Prattle to some, or tongues to another, even though we don't mean it to be. God is just so Amazing, and Ever willing.............There is so much we don't know of Him yet, and it blows my mind sometimes, how AWESOME HE IS.!!!!

Blessings

I open my cloak to provide my brother and sister who enjoy their heavenly prattle, a safe haven from the evil doer.

Amen! He is truly awesome in every way, sis. I don't think we'll ever get bored trying to figure Him out.

If you start a thread over in Deeper Fellowship, you and x might be able to explore this symbolism a bit further without having to worry about causing confusion to anyone.

I hope I didn't offend you by using you as an example for my argument, you and x were just close at hand, but I've got nothin' but love for you. :)

God bless

No not at all, in fact just a few yrs. ago, I can remember, if I heard someone like X post, I would be thinking, what the heck is talking about. LOL
And I don't understand everything he says all the time, but some of it is just so amazing I can help but Shout for Joy! I hear the sound, and I Embrace it even though my mind can't comprehend, I know, that I know, it is Truth.

And then I'll be laying in the bed thinking on things, or doing house work etc.
And I hear a scripture that falls right in line with what he was saying, and the tears come and my heart rejoices in Him. It's all good in Him.

Blessings
