  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hello all my beloved family here. I love and miss you all dearly, sisters and brothers united in the Lord and Lover of our hearts, the one and only beautiful Jesus Christ!

My First Communion was unforgettable. I could not believe that I was finally approaching the Blessed Sacrament for which I had longed for so many years. I bowed to the Body of the Lord and received it on my tongue (I realized I don't like to receive it in my hands, because no way they're ever clean enough to touch His lovely Flesh). The feeling I had as soon as I received was so amazing. I felt like something exploded powerfully in my heart. Joy overtook me. I knelt in the pew praying in whispers with tears in my eyes, rejoicing in the fact that I received His Body. My sponsor prayed over me to the Holy Spirit. I am sighing in His praises from my heart just thinking of that moment. Since then I have felt a strong craving in my soul for the Holy Eucharist and I praise Jesus as my "Daily Bread". He is truly our Life-Giver and truly our Forgiver. Alleluia!

On a side note, I have often heard the debate over whether it's okay to chew the Host, as opposed to letting it melt in your mouth. I don't think it matters, but a devotional practice of mine is not chewing, rather breaking the Host in two with my tongue against the roof of my mouth, as a reminder of Jesus' "broken" Body on the Cross.

May Jesus bless you all and keep us united in His love.

Blessings in His delightful Name

Your brother Jonathan

That is beautiful Jonathan!!:clap: I'm glad that your first Communion was so wonderful :)

As for chewing the Host.. I don't chew the Host either, - I sort of let it dissolve in my mouth for a bit (but not entirely, just so it's softer) and I break it into half too and then swallow it.

I also receive the Eucharist on the tongue. (that is the Church's official "normal" way to receive :)). When I go to the Latin Mass, it's so beautiful, because they also kneel the receive :)

God bless:hug:

we share it with others by telling them how awesome the Eucharist is and how wonderful the Love of the One who created it is!

And you know dear brother what is very best for me when I ponder on all this?

That for all the awesome joy and fellowship at receiving Christ's holy Sacrament, the eternal benefit of eating His Flesh and Drinking His blood into our mortal life is what is the true miracle of it all!:amen:

All Glory to Jesus for sharing His Holy Life - Body and Soul - with us who love Him to be King of kings and Lord of lords over all God's Good Creation!:clap::clap:

Love you bro!

Psalm 116:8-19

For you, LORD, have delivered me from death,
my eyes from tears,
my feet from stumbling,
that I may walk before the LORD
in the land of the living.:clap::clap:

I trusted in the LORD when I said,

“I am greatly afflicted”;
in my alarm I said,
“Everyone is a liar.”

What shall I return to the LORD
or all his goodness to me?

I will lift up the cup of salvation
and call on the name of the LORD.
I will fulfill my vows to the LORD
in the presence of all his people.

Precious in the sight of the LORD
is the death of his faithful servants.:amen:

Truly I am your servant, LORD;
I serve you just as my mother did;
you have freed me from my chains.:clap::clap:

I will sacrifice a thank offering to you
and call on the name of the LORD.

I will fulfill my vows to the LORD
in the presence of all his people,
in the courts of the house of the LORD—
in your midst, Jerusalem.

Praise the LORD.

Hi everyone
How are we all going?

Could I ask some advice? At work, I'm struggling to follow Jesus example. I'm a manager and so its my job to make sure everyone is doing their job and to answer questions and deal with problems etc. But sometimes people ask me the most RIDICULOUS questions; they dont think for themselves before they ask me. I often get frustrated and occassionally I have given a bit of a harsh answer. I have also had to get up people from time to time cos they havent been doing the right thing. I dont want to be a harsh person and I want to show Jesus to my work mates, but how do you display Jesus and tell people off at the same time?

Could I also ask you all to pray for my mum? She's is going to see a specialist tomorrow to maybe book a biopsy to see if the shadow on her lung is cancerous.

On a lighter note, I'm leading the worship at church tonight, and we're doing the song "none but Jesus" for the first time. I LOVE the song and it sums up my faith at the moment and I'm super excited about doing it! I hope the congregation really connects with it too :)

May you all have a wonderful day in fellowship with Jesus and other believers!

Hi dear

Great you seeking to do it right, so important, I fully agree, together with our Lord though we can find the answers we need, or at least that is what I found, and I know many others.

The main things with people is be good to them when they try hard! The better you are to such people the better the results and the working atmosphere and it puts up good standards.

Be patient when they don't and tell them kindly and show them or work along side them showing them how to do it right.

Those who uses your kindness for themselves and don't return you warn, until if they don't heed you cut the tree, but be careful doing such things and only in the truth of God, but it might have to happy.

I found that if you genuinely love them, give them their portions and an unexpected extra at times, like compliment, or even a lunch or dinner if such would work, whatever is at hand use, very much like that.

See if the boss gives 10 cents extra to his workers God will return Him 70 cents in full measure. World's terrible minimum wages hasn't discovered this fact but it is true, so pracitse it and your boss will be pleased. (Just ponder on the unfaithful manager story of our Lord a little to see what I mean.)

Compliments are good if sincere, but please don't leave it at that, such is meaningless in the end and merely strokes our ego, and therefore doesn't produce good things at all like that. Dedication is what you have to demonstrate to them so they will copy it back to you in their work.

Sometimes we have trouble makers who will try and sabotage your work. Forgiving them and loving them and praying for them, repenting when you fall, is the quickest way to silence them. Honestly true.

I was forced once to take my co-coordinator on - all the way to court in The End - for he was a fraud and was doing bad things to the accommodation place he controlled through government funds, only one other person supported me, because of all the mud slinging this man put up, even threads and anonymous phone calls and things

My anger at him caused it to become so ugly for he was a dishonest man who was not faithful at all.

Still The Lord told me how to proceed, though this man got me sacked to try and silence me, he was found out in the end, for God showed me how to proceed, step by step, through all we uncovered all his lies documented them and got him court and out of a job.:o

The place he was destroying, for it had not been helping many young people at all, though that is what it was for, was saved, but only just because I was angry with him for being so low and mean. It was the love for the kids that God used to win the battle and the battle to show I did it wrong Though at that time I didn't understand that yet.

It is best to keep loving your enemies even if you have to fight one is what I'm trying to explain, and to repent when you fall, you can't loose any battle that Way, that is what Jesus showed.

I hope this was some help to you.

Thankyou for replying. I didn't really get all of what you were saying though. I often compliment people sincerely for doing a good job and thank them for the days work. I spend most of my day working beside people, helping out in different departments, assisting when people are behind in their work. I always make sure people know what they're doing, and I show them how to do a job if they're unsure. There is not a single job in the whole store that someone else does that I haven't done at some point.

I'm more referring to the people who have been there long enough to know what to do that are constantly asking me stupid questions and are not thinking for themselves but just calling me up in the first instance instead of using their brain first and calling me second.

What do you mean by cutting the tree? And what do you mean about the extra 10 cents?

I don't know what advice to give you...I know patience and kindness is not always easy to show towards other people, especially when we are with them a lot and they 'get on our nerves.' I thought I was such a wonderful, patient person until I had children!! LOL! All I can say is I am right there with you in dealing with this issue.

God bless you! HE is your strength.

Beloved Jesus, it has been awhile since I have read this thread, it always had a way to bring us back to Jesus and what he has done for us.
So here is Paul speaking of the Gospel of Jesus:

14I am debtor both to the Greeks, and to the Barbarians; both to the wise, and to the unwise. 15So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also.
16For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
17For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
18For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
19Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
20For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen...

May your words be held in Righteousness and not in Unrighteousness LORD.

Dear Amy,

When Jesus thanks you, you are thanked INDEED! :) Though I do thank you, I am happy more for you that He thanks you. Lots of XO, and that's better than anything I could say :)

And I know you now know how special you really are. :) You don't need any of us to tell you now. :)

Mary P said the Lord told her I am going to live to be an old, old woman and have many adventures with Jesus--LOL! I was not actually all that happy about it, because I've wanted to go home and be with Jesus so badly, for so long, and it seems like an awful long road yet. :-(

But He is funny :) When I used to feel like an outsider in life, He would say to me, "Well, beloved, the outside is really the inside; the inside of My heart :)" And now He says to me, "The long road, for you, is the shortest way. Be of good cheer :) We'll have a wonderful trip together, you and I."

And I think about Him, how he must have longed every moment to be back in Heaven with the Father, but He is so unselfish, he stayed here because people needed His presence. And as He helps me, I will be unselfish like He was, and keep my part of His presence in this world until my road is done.

So pray for me :) You will get to see me a spunky old woman with white hair giving principalities and powers what for, with my cane if necessary! :) And He said he will get white hair with me so that I don't feel old and frumpy with my One True Love Jesus Christ :) lol :)

and our story continues..... :)
