  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Hmmm. . . That's so weird. What part of Egypt are they from?
I'm not sure. They are coptes. I think that the dance that they know and hate so much is belly dancing, not Egyptien folkdancing. I saw Tunisian dancing so I get the idea of what Egyptien dancing can look like, but the guys I knew hated BD because that was what the blond girls were dancing in all the cabarets infront of all these rich immoral men.

Yeah, in cabarets they do BD, and the Copts I know think it's suductive, too. They don't like it when they do it that way. As they put it, "BD can either be suductive or not." At weddings and parties they have belly dancers, but it's not the same as the ones in the cabarets. If you've ever watched the way the cabarets do it, it is seductive. But the ones hired at the weddings or the regular women who do it aren't.

peace and love

Oh well any dance can be seductive...geez havent you seen real passionate tango or other latino dance? well it is what you put into it... and no-one goes blaming tango for example being too sexy or seductive...lol

I got several belly dancing dvds, the twins one and also Rania and Neon, I am having tons of fun... I feel after a few times I practiced I really can move better in general, feel more flexible... and it is much more fun than just excersizes.... later I plan to do some ballroom dancing and I am sure that belly dancing can help to develop grace and flexibility essential for any dance.... hope to be able to join a belly dancing class in autumn!
