Scholars have always pointed out flaws in other denominations theology, doctrines, and practices and understanding of events. Since only one is true, the rest is propaganda. it is not hard to find inconsistencies. It is like modern medical research, the summary states the pharmaceutical position as they are paying for it.Scholars equal propaganda? Since when?
That doesn't make what they say propaganda. Anyone who publishes propaganda is no scholar.Scholars have always pointed out flaws in other denominations theology, doctrines, and practices and understanding of events. We agree.amen.... even if they have multiple phd's behind their name.
An admirable thing to do. What other direction was he called? Our rabbi is getting old and somewhat easily distracted. But at one time he was working on a "curriculum" for traditional churches to use in discipling Jewish congregants in their unique calling as Jewish believers in Yeshua. I don't think he got very far before being pulled in another direction.
Cardinal Jean-Marie Lustiger, archbishop of Paris, states openly, "I'm a Jew," though his theological beliefs are obviously in line with the Roman Catholic tradition." See, we are becoming more and more well known!
You don't know the extent of his observance. I don't believe he is fully observant the way I am. But it is known that he has Jewish traditions. The quote of the article was saying that Messianic Judaism was even making headway into the Catholic church. It was a short article and chose to say this over all the things it could have said. Have you no comment about that?????Father Lustiger is apparently a Catholic Jew, not a Torah-observant MJ.

There is absolutely nothing stopping a Catholic priest from being observant if he is a Jew and he so chooses.Yeah he's a CATHOLIC PRIEST, after all.

Why would a scientologist keep Torah? Catholicism sprung from Judaism. The Jews are our elder brothers. You can't say that about scientology. <STAFF EDIT>Nothing stops a scientologist from keeping Torah either.

Did you VISIT the Catholics for Israel website? See for yourself if they just mean Christianity. http://www.catholicsforisrael.com/articles/torah-and-gospelIt appears to me that some are apparently using "Messianic Judaism" to literally just mean "Christianity".
Do you think a scientologist can keep Torah with the blessings of the superiors in Scientology? NO. But a priest who is a Jew can keep Torah with the blessings of Rome. <STAFF EDIT>I am saying a scientologist CAN keep Torah, just like you said a Catholic priest CAN keep Torah.
