Being brave

Watched a movie the other night. The lead is a beautiful girl. But because of how she had been treated she didn't think she was worthy of love. Of course a good guy comes into her life. He tells her he loves her. But she's afraid to say it back.
Eventually at the end she goes after him. She explains that she thought he deserved better than her. He looks at her and says, "What could be better than you?" And they kiss and have an adorable happy ending.
It's not easy being brave. When you tell someone how you feel you risk rejection. But what about what you risk when you're too afraid to say it? When you think you're not good enough. Not worthy. When you believe the person you love deserves better. When you want to see a smile on their face even if you didn't put it there.
Lord help me to be brave.
