Being a new Christian is confusing

I'm sorry but I must disagree, respectfully but disagree none the less, with you Carebeare. 'Intelligence' without anchor to God's Word and Truth becomes a tool of Satan. Study our worlds history and my meaning will become clear... The most wicked, vicious dictators held degrees of higher learning, what they lacked was God! I suggest knowledge without a firm anchor to God's Word is nothing but illusion. Satan has used this tool to seduce man from the very beginning. Eve was the first to fall for it.

The study of the Dead Sea Scrolls have proven the Bible is still the same as it was thousands of years ago. There have been other ancient documents that prove the Bible is true. The letters of Pilate to Rome describe Jesus and his awesome presence in addition to the events surrounding His death!! The Word is our ONLY source for Truth.

To all of our seekers who are confused; I have found His Word to be absolutely true, time and again! God is not a man that He should lie. His Word is the compass to use to judge ALL things. Sometimes I have had to ask the Holy Spirit to enlighten things to me I did not understand but that is what the Bible says is the 'key to understanding...'

Pray and seek Him first with your whole heart. HE will lead you in the right path. Be blessed on your journey!

The truth is found in the studying the Bible. Church is more to meet with like minded people. You should avoid churches which desparage other christian churches. Try to find a church you feel comfortable with. Study the new testament to learn about how Jesus wants us to live and study proverbs to learn practical wisdom, 1 short chapter in proverbs per day is ideal. By reading on your own you will be stronger in your faith and understanding.
