What are some MUDs you recommend? Also, what are some tips to playing, cuz I've never played one.

I can heartily recommend Achaea: Dreams of Divine Lands. I've been playing it off and on for about a year now. Amazing PvP interaction (not just combat) and a little less emphasis on the level treadmill than other RPGs.

If you do happen to join, try and find me. I play Arnediad the druid (3rd time through).

I always used to like Avalon, but they made it pay to play... And I was.. upset.. lol.. But anyway, now I like Achaea, that was always good though I haven't played in a while. I used to be Eldwin (cleric).Achaea is a definate good one, it's massive and the people are nice there.

I've always liked Carrion Fields, but they've gotten really big lately.
