No, I never had this said to me during my back-slidden times.

The irony is that now this is something that I say quite a bit. I don't mean it to be rude or to belittle the other person, its just that before even considering whether or not to engage in a more extended/intimate conversation with someone, this is something that I would rather know from jump (and squash it then) as opposed to days/weeks later when feelings are developing, which can cloud my judgement.

I would like to think that the other person would understand, although in my experience, the guy usually thinks I'm kidding (or that he can "change my mind" LOL ) and still tries anyway.

Well I don't like you say want to be rude nor jam God down someone's throat but I would only date Christians but maybe if a non-Christian is opened to the Word of God, hopefully that person can change.
