Angels are fellow servants of God with men and are part of His heavenly family.
God does love His family.
Angels in heaven are also referred to as Elect angels.
Non elect angels would be demons, fallen angels. That word 'elect' means chosen of God.

Either your elect chosen of God whether of angel or of man or you are lost and going to hell fire.

1 Timothy 5:21
New King James Version (NKJV)
21 I charge you before God and the Lord Jesus Christ and the elect angels that you observe these things without prejudice, doing nothing with partiality.

God in Zechariah speaks kind words to the angel after he prayed who actually are interceding for Israel, His people.

Zech 1
12 Then the Angel of the Lord answered and said, “O Lord of hosts, how long will You not have mercy on Jerusalem and on the cities of Judah, against which You were angry these seventy years?”

13 And the Lord answered the angel who talked to me, with good and comforting words. 14 So the angel who spoke with me said to me, “Proclaim, saying, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts:

'Guardian angels' are also something Jesus mentions. The word guardian is added but the idea is there in the text.

The whole idea of 1/3rd of the angels falling and rebelling (assuming it's true) prompts a few logical questions:
1. If the angels existed in perfection, with the free will to obey or
disobey God...then cannot any resident of heaven, current or
future also fall from heaven?;
2. Heaven implies a timeless existence. For the "bad angels" to fall
there would have to be a point at which things were "ok", and then
afterward another point at which things were "not ok", hence the
passage of time, which is a contradiction of timeless heaven;
3. If 1/3rd of angels chose to disobey God, how is that worthy of
damnation, the lake of fire, turning from "angel" to "demon?" God
never changes and says sinners will be forgiven. Why are the
demons not forgiven?
4. Is there something about existence with God "in heaven" that is
inherintly distasteful and uncomfortable, hence causing a soul
to not want to be in heaven?

1. I don't think in the future, because they had enough occasions. Some even fell before the flood, satan fell long before that.
2. Maybe they were created when He created the earth, so in the beginning. I believe He created it first for Lucifer and there was a pre Adamic race.
3. Demons are something else.
Satan can't and doesn't want to ask for forgiveness, there is nothing good in him, he's totally dark and full of hate, he hates God.
4. No, there is something distateful with satan who lies that God isn't good and sometimes people believe him. Why some don't want to be there is because they're not holy and full of love and their sins will be seen immediately because of His Light. They run to the darkness. That's why we need a new nature.

By the way I wonder if God knew Lucifer would sin. How can Light even think of the possibility of darkness and how could He create man in His Image, totally unaware of evil and innocent, naive? He knew (it means to know by experience) good and bad only because He experienced satan fell.

Yes, God knows the darkness and the light and is fully aware of it all from before the beginning.

Your eyes saw my unformed body;
all the days ordained for me were written in your book
before one of them came to be.

God has no limits. Awesome to think about. Imagine if God was like Satan, how horrible that would be. Satan wanted to be God. God does not allow that for angels. Those fallen angels chose to do what they did with the knowledge that what they did was wrong in God's view. They did so wilfully.

7 Where can I go from your Spirit?
Where can I flee from your presence?
8 If I go up to the heavens, you are there;
if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.
9 If I rise on the wings of the dawn,
if I settle on the far side of the sea,
10 even there your hand will guide me,
your right hand will hold me fast.
11 If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me
and the light become night around me,”
12 even the darkness will not be dark to you;
the night will shine like the day,
for darkness is as light to you.

13 For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place,
when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my unformed body;
all the days ordained for me were written in your book
before one of them came to be.

17 How precious to me are your thoughts,[a] God!
How vast is the sum of them!
18 Were I to count them,
they would outnumber the grains of sand—
when I awake, I am still with you.
