Jesus had mentioned His resurrection to His disciples, many times in the bible.
So yes, He does know He will rise again from the dead.

It's one of the aspects that show us how fully human Jesus was. He mentioned to his disciples many times about his resurrection, and spoke about "the sign of Jonah", but even with that knowledge of his death He still asked God if there was another way. It's very humbling to know Jesus lived and died for us.

" 'These are the Lord's appointed feasts, the sacred assemblies you are to proclaim at their appointed times. The Lord's Passover begins at twilight on the fourteenth day of the first month. On the fifteenth day of that month the Lord's Feast of Unleavened Bread begins; for seven days you must eat bread made without yeast. On the first day hold a sacred assembly and do no regular work. For seven days present an offering made to the Lord by fire. And on the seventh day hold a sacred assembly and do no regular work.' " (Leviticus 23:4-8,NIV)

The first and the seventh days of Passover were declared as 'special Sabbaths' (the origin of our Holy Days), irregardless of what day of the week they fell on. So when the first day of Passover fell on Friday, that day was seen as a Sabbath, with all the restrictions placed on it which were normally placed on the regular Sabbath. In the year in which Jesus was crucified the first day of Passover fell on Friday, which caused the people to have to observe a Sabbath which was 48 hours long. This was due to a special Sabbath's being followed immediately by a regular Sabbath.

I am well aware of the LORD's appointed feasts explained in Leviticus. According to the gospel of John, Jesus was not crucified the first day of Passover. Well, maybe I'm a little confused. On what day do you think Jesus was crucified? John 19:14 says, "Now it was the day of preparation for the Passover" and this was the day He was crucified according to John. He was not crucified the first day of Passover, He was crucified on "the day of preparation" for the Passover.

Didn't Jesus eat the Passover meal according Mark 14:12?

Also, on what day did the women prepare the spices and perfumes?
