My brothers and sisters,
I just came back from confessing my sin to Jesus and receiving His forgiveness in the Sacrament of Confession.
Lately I have been struggling with a grave sin addiction that began a long time ago.
Thankfully, through Christ's work in my life, the addiction is losing its power. Something my priest pointed out to me today.
However this morning I chose to commit the sin again.
I know Jesus has forgiven me for this relapse, and I have firmly repented of the sin, making an affirmation to follow Christ even more closely than before. I don't want to fall away from Him again!
In any case, I ask that you would pray for me brothers and sisters. Pray for me that the next time I am tempted I may holdfast to Jesus Christ, to His love and promises. Amen.
