Well, I saw the success of the Battle of the Bands, so I decided maybe we could do the same thing with rap/hip-hop. So, it'll actually be two competitions. One for single artist and one for groups. But, the contestants may or may not be of the same category, but I'll to keep them close. 16 groups per title for both the single and group competition.

I'm gonna be honest here. I really don't like either of these artists. However, I like Ludacris' "Stand Up", so that's why I voted for him. Chingy is annoying as hell: his voice is very nasal-sounding, and he can't spell (where exactly is the "Holidae Inn" located? ;) )?
Yeah, I know. Although Luda was in that song along with Snoop. Or was that the remix?

I've actually never heard of Chingy. But I like a few Ludacris songs so I voted for him.

Who were you thinking of including in the tourney? Here's a few suggestions from me:
Artist: Tupac, Dre, Biggie, Snoop, Busta Rhymes, Coolio, DMX, Redman, Method Man, Mos Def, LL, Wyclef.

Group: Tribe Called Quest, Bone Thugs n Harmony, Onyx, De La Soul, Def Squad, Outkast, Fugees.

BTW I think a hip hop tournament is a great idea!!

I have barely heard of either of these, I am not a big fan of rap. However, Andy is right - you must have Public Enemy, "it takes a nation of millions to hold us back" is the only rap album I own. They kick the mass hord of guns 'n ho's 'n bling-bling rappers into the shade.
