Satan is such a clever creature. He has been distorting what God has said from the very beginning. He even has an established system of false worship that has it's root in Babylon. This system has changed God's Law and God's times. It even changed the day of Jesus' birth and death, as well as, the day of His resurrection.

Jesus said He would be in the heart of the earth three days and three nights.

Lev. 23 teaches us the events of crucifixion week, which had to be accurately fulfilled by Jesus. According to Lev. 23, Passover is to be at sunset on the 14th day of the month, which was on Tuesday that year. This is when Jesus gave the bread and wine and told Judas to do quickly what he was going to do. Jesus was arrested Tuesday night and was crucified Wednesday and was placed in the tomb Wednesday just around sunset. Thursday, the 15th day of the same month, was the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, this was a Sabbath day but it wasn't a normal Sabbath, but rather, it was a high Sabbath because it only came once a year.

At sunrise Friday the high Sabbath was over, Mary bought spices to anoint Jesus' body that Friday. She prepared the spices all day Friday and then rested on the seventh day Sabbath, according to the commandment. She then went to the tomb at sunrise Sabbath morning and found the tomb empty because Sabbath morning at sunrise was the third day.

When you read the words, "on the first day of the week" they are a distortion of truth to cause you to believe the Sabbath is Sunday and that Jesus resurrected on Sunday. These four words, "day of the week" are actually one word in the Greek and it's the word, Sabbath. What it should say is, "on the first Sabbath" not "on the first day of the week".

Why was it called the first Sabbath? Because, according to Lev. 23, they had to count seven Sabbaths starting after the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, which was the high Sabbath. They were to count seven Sabbaths which calculates to 49 days then, according to Lev. 23, they were to add one more day to make 50. This was how they determined the day of Pentecost.

The disciples never gathered on Sunday, nor did Jesus die on Friday and resurrect on Sunday. This is a great deception.

Satan has gotten the whole world deceived, just like God said.

I am not yet sure what your point is here. Are you saying that Adventists are deceived about something regarding the text you allude to from Acts 20:7?
Act 20:7 And on the first of the week, the disciples having been gathered together to break bread, Paul was discoursing to them, about to depart on the morrow, he was also continuing the discourse till midnight,
It almost sounds as though you are saying this verse from the Bible is not accurate? Please help us out and explain a little more. :)

I'm not directing towards anyone in particular. Let me ask you a quick question. When did Mary buy the spices? Before the seventh day Sabbath or after the Sabbath?

Well first I would like to clear up questions about your first post. What exactly is the alleged deception you are trying to point out there?

What did you delete my friend?

I was trying to reply from my phone but it started to die so I deleted it before it died with only half a post.

If you answer my question you will understand my post. When did Mary buy the spices, before the seventh day Sabbath or after?

I can relate re trying to reply with phone - I was using mine too. It seems like you are working up to making some point here; so I will let you carry on a bit. I will be waiting to find out who is deceived, and what they are deceived about. If you will check back to the OP here, you seemed to be saying that the Bible did not word something correctly. Maybe discussion of that will help?

The inability to give an answer could be a sign that one is deceived.

Well I can see you like to play little keyboard games with people. When you can just say whatthe specific deception is and who is deceived by it and back it up by scripture only instead of evasive cliche and puffed up rhetoric and accusations. Ill be around to discuss it

It's a very simple question. Within my main post there is a revelation of several deceptions in today's church. If you answer my very simple question it may lead to a whole string of wrong beliefs one may have that need to be changed. It's very simple so don't make it hard through resistance to the question.

No. The first post is not a revelation of anyghing but it could easily be seen as the deception here. My question was pretty simple too. All I asked for was clarification on exactly what deception you are accusing our church of. In a previous post you denied accusing anyone of anything yet in the last post you just did you allude to multiple deceptions the church is supposedly under. Its not hard to see the reason you are here.

Wow! Such resistance to such a simple question.

How can I accuse the church of God of deception when the church consists of many people with many different beliefs. One can only know an individual is deceived by what that individual believes thus the simple question.

I asked the same question to a Baptist minister and he too refused to answer the question and then said I was judging him for asking it.

Well if you want to het like this then lets look at what just happened. You come onto this forum with accusations against who knows what and before you asked your BIG question I asked for clarification on something you said in the op. What you are doing here makes no sense because yoir question changes the subject from the op and my question. You show obviois pride in supposedly stumping a Baptist minister on this as well and that alone shows who is deceived about what.

Really? All this from a simple question. Is this what the church has come to be? Have a blessed day.

All what? You were asked to clarify something from your OP and you are the one making the issue. This forum is for traditional Adventists and to discuss their official beliefs with people. I see by your icon here that you are not an Adventist, so here you are with some big mystery truth to "teach us" and yet you wont tell us what it is.
