The Pagan Origin Of Easter
"Ishtar", which is pronounced "Easter" was a day that commemorated the resurrection of one of the Babylonian gods that they called "Tammuz" (Iesous in Greek), who was believed to be the only begotten son of the moon-goddess and the sun-god.

In those ancient times, there was a man named Nimrod, who was the grandson of one of Noah's son named Ham. Ham had a son named Cush who married a woman named Semiramis.Cush and Semiramis then had a son named him "Nimrod."
After the death of his father, Nimrod married his own mother and became a powerful King.

The Bible tells of this man, Nimrod, in Genesis 10:8-10 as follows: "And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth. He was a mighty hunter before the Lord: wherefore it is said, even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before the Lord. And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar."

Nimrod became a god-man to the people and Semiramis, his wife and mother, became the powerful Queen of ancient Babylon. Nimrod was eventually killed by an enemy, and his body was cut in pieces and sent to various parts of his kingdom. Semiramis had all of the parts gathered, except for one part that could not be found. That missing part was his reproductive organ. Semiramis claimed that Nimrod could not come back to life without it and told the people of Babylon that Nimrod had ascended to the sun and was now to be called "Baal", the sun god.

Queen Semiramis also proclaimed that Baal would be present on earth in the form of a flame, whether candle or lamp, when used in worship. Semiramis was creating a mystery religion, and with the help of Satan, she set herself up as a goddess. Semiramis claimed that she was immaculately conceived. She taught that the moon was a goddess that went through a 28 day cycle and ovulated when full.

She further claimed that she came down from the moon in a giant moon egg that fell into the Euphrates River. This was to have happened at the time of the first full moon after the spring equinox. Semiramis became known as "Ishtar" which is pronounced "Easter", and her moon egg became known as "Ishtar's" egg." Ishtar soon became pregnant and claimed that it was the rays of the sun-god Baal that caused her to conceive. The son that she brought forth was named Tammuz (Iesousin Greek).

Tammuz was noted to be especially fond of rabbits, and they became sacred in the ancient religion, because Tammuz was believed to be the son of the sun-god, Baal. Tammuz, like his supposed father, became a hunter. The day came when Tammuz was killed by a wild pig. Queen Ishtar told the people that Tammuz was now ascended to his father, Baal, and that the two of them would be with the worshippers in the sacred candle or lamp flame as Father, Son and Spirit.

Ishtar, who was now worshipped as the "Mother of God and Queen of Heaven", continued to build her mystery religion. The queen told the worshippers that when Tammuz (Iesous in Greek) was killed by the wild pig, some of his blood fell on the stump of an evergreen tree, and the stump grew into a full new tree overnight. This made the evergreen tree sacred by the blood of Tammuz. She also proclaimed a forty day period of time of sorrow each year prior to the anniversary of the death of Tammuz. During this time, no meat was to be eaten. Worshippers were to meditate upon the sacred mysteries of Baal and Tammuz, and to make the sign of the "T" in front of their hearts as they worshipped. They also ate sacred cakes with the marking of a "T" or cross on the top.

Every year, on the first Sunday after the first full moon after the spring equinox, a celebration was made. It was Ishtar's Sunday and was celebrated with rabbits and eggs. Ishtar also proclaimed that because Tammuz (Iesous in Greek) was killed by a pig, that a pig must be eaten on that Sunday.

By now, the readers of this should have made the connection that paganism has infiltrated the contemporary "Christian" churches. The truth is that Easter has nothing whatsoever to do with the resurrection of Yeshua Ha Mashiach.
We also know that Easter can be as much as three weeks away from the Passover, because the pagan holiday is always set as the first Sunday after the first full moon after the spring equinox.

Satan is a master deceiver, and has filled the lives of well-meaning, professing Christians with idolatry. These things bring the wrath of God upon children of disobedience, who make pagan worship of Baal Christian. You must answer for your activities and for what you teach your children.

These customs of Easter honor Baal, who is also Satan, and is still worshipped as the "Rising Sun" and his house is the "House of the Rising Sun." How many churches have "sunrise services" on Ishtar's day and face the rising sun in the East? How many will use colored eggs and rabbit stories, as they did in ancient Babylon. These things are no joke, any more than Judgment Day and the Lake of Fire are not a joke. http://www.lasttrumpetministries.org/tracts/tract1.html

Ok, I would love to read all your post you have just posted, but before I do, as a way of testing you as a real prophet, I need to know one thing. If you are a real prophet, you will be able to answer this. If not, I have no reason to listen to anything you say, because it's clearly not from God. If you can't articulate such a simple plan of salvation, than what need do I have for you? Anyway, what I want to know is, explain to me how to get to heaven. What I have to do to get there, if anything, and anything else about salvation you would like to add. This will prove to me you are a prophet, and although you might think it's not nessecery for you to prove anything, that is wrong. If you make a bold statement, which you have done, it needs to be backed up by scripture. The only thing left to do is test all things, and you are not exempt from being tested.

Christmas' pagan origins

Few people realize that the origins of Christmas are pagan & celebrated in Europe long before anyone there had heard of Jesus Christ.

From the biblical description, most historians believe that his birth probably occurred in September, approximately six months after Passover. One thing they agree on is that it is very unlikely that Yeshua was born in December, since the bible records shepherds tending their sheep in the fields on that night. This is quite unlikely to have happened during a cold Judean winter. So why do we celebrate Yeshua’s birthday as Christmas, on December the 25th?

The answer lies in the pagan origins of Christmas. In ancient Babylon, the feast of the Son of Isis (Goddess of Nature) was celebrated on December 25. Raucous partying, gluttonous eating and drinking, and gift-giving were traditions of this feast.
In Rome, the Winter Solstice was celebrated many years before the birth of Christ. The Romans called their winter holiday Saturnalia, honoring Saturn, the God of Agriculture. In January, they observed the Kalends of January, which represented the triumph of life over death. This whole season was called Dies Natalis Invicti Solis, the Birthday of the Unconquered Sun. The festival season was marked by much merrymaking. It is in ancient Rome that the tradition of the Mummers was born. The Mummers were groups of costumed singers and dancers who traveled from house to house entertaining their neighbors. From this, the Christmas tradition of caroling was born.

In northern Europe, many other traditions that we now consider part of Christian worship were begun long before the participants had ever heard of Yeshua. The pagans of northern Europe celebrated their own winter solstice, known as Yule. Yule was symbolic of the pagan sun god, Mithras, being born, and was observed on the shortest day of the year. As the sun god grew and matured, the days became longer and warmer. It was customary to light a candle to encourage Mithras, and the sun, to reappear next year.

Huge Yule logs were burned in honor of the sun. The word Yule itself means “wheel,” the wheel being a pagan symbol for the sun. Mistletoe was considered a sacred plant, and the custom of kissing under the mistletoe began as a fertility ritual. Holly berries were thought to be a food of the gods.

In 350, Pope Julius I declared that Christ’s birth would be celebrated on December 25. There is little doubt that he was trying to make it as painless as possible for pagan Romans (who remained a majority at that time) to convert to Christianity. The new religion went down a bit easier, knowing that their feasts would not be taken away from them.

Christmas (Christ-Mass) as we know it today, most historians agree, began in Germany, though Catholics and Lutherans still disagree about which church celebrated it first. The earliest record of an evergreen being decorated in a Christian celebration was in 1521 in the Alsace region of Germany. A prominent Lutheran minister of the day cried blasphemy: “Better that they should look to the true tree of life, Christ.”

BigChrisfilm I already have several times only you must have missed it.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son Yeshua that whosoever believe in him should not perish but have eternal life.

(Post #138) Yeshua said, ”I am the way, the truth and the life; no man comes unto the Father but by me. “ There is NO other way. There is NO other name given unto men by which they must be saved. Only Yeshua is worthy to receive our glory and our honor and our praise.

NOBODY else. Only Yeshua was crucified died and was buried on the first day of Passover. Only Yeshua and NO ONE else rose again from the dead on the third day of Passover. Yeshua was tormented for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him and with his stripes we are healed. Yeshua is the perfect one. Yeshua is the Passover lamb that was sacrificed so that the Angle of Death will pass over us so we can live with the Father in his glory for all eternity. It is ONLY by our accepting the Blood Sacrifice of Yeshua for our sins and asking God to forgive us that our names can be written in the Book of Life. There is no other way. No fancy ritual or ceremony. No memorizing a lot of meaningless words and no having to sacrifice any thing except for our sins. Just ask God to forgive you and ask the Lord Yeshua to take control of your life and give him that control. Then go get Baptized as Yeshua was Baptized full emersion. Finally ask the Lord to give you his Holy Spirit. He will.

P.S.

The only requirement for salvation is the blood sacrifice of Yeshua and asking our Heavenly Father for forgiveness. I personally instruct people to speak their sins out loud simply to get them out of their heart. Out of the abundance of the heart doth the mouth speak. Once they are washed clean in the Blood of Yeshua I take them to the nearest body of water and baptize them. Once they are baptized I instruct them in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. Some time I will do this before a person is Baptized in water simple because the Lord had cast an unclean spirit out of them and to keep that spirit and seven of his brother from coming back to reacquire that person they must be filled or indwelt by the Holy Spirit of God the Father.

I have a question for you James.
Why is you are so adament about using Yeshua and not using the proper name of God? Just kinda curious.
Ps 68:4, which btw is the only verse left in the translation to let us know what His name was. But, I use it with a Y, and not a J. So Yah for me, as well as Yeshua. But I don't feel that people who use Jesus, or as to say, " the God of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob" to be in error. I personally believe that our HEARTS speak for themselves, if we are earnest in praying.

Just my opinion.

Wow this took alot of time to read through...almost 2 hours )) But well worth it. May you all be blessed)

Ok, that was pretty text book. Anyway, now explain to me why I need to call Jesus Yeshua, how you found out his name is Yeshua, and why his name can't be Jesus.

Man is the laziest creature living on this planet. .
It would be better if you limited your posts to one topic at a time. It works for me.
So men are more lazy than Tree Sloths? NO.
Do all men have the "amotivational syndrome" you ascribe to all men? NO.
Those who are industrious or seeking perfection or at least very hight quality in what they attempt are not lazy in the way you describe. You are trying to tell me that the Banjo fanatics who practice their banjos for six hours a night after they get off work are Lazy? You must be joking.

Then there is the other reason:
Palestinian Information Minister Mustapha Barghouti said Palestinians were "very angry" that the "Israelis (were) trying to take advantage of internal fighting."
"Israel has decided to escalate this and this could lead to disaster ... we have no peace partner," he added.
In a visit to the town of Sderot, near the Gaza border, Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert promised to keep pressure on the militants firing the rockets. http://www.cnn.com/2007/WORLD/meast/05/18/gaza/index.html
Please note that all of the names mentioned in this article are in their native language and were not altered or changed. The Israeli Prime Minister’s name is Ehud Olmert while the Palestinian Information Minister’s name is Mustapha Barghouti. We do this out of respect for those individuals. Heck when the 18 terrorists who hijacked those 4 aircraft and flew 2 of them into the Twin Towers were identified we used their true native names. If we can show our enemies that kind of respect how much more should we do the same for our Lord and Savior?

So do I but I have to be obedient to the one who has sent me. He tells me what to say, when to say it and where I am to say it.

He is in control of the situation and the circumstances and there are certain individuals he is trying to reach. That means he has to work within the limits of this forum. Yes a lot of his message offends certain individuals. A lot of His message offended the same type of individuals back nearly 2007 years ago. The message has not changed. Likewise what people choose to believe has not changed either.

The Jews at the base of Mount Sinai demanded that they have something physical that they can see, touch and feel so they could feel the presence of God so they built for themselves a golden calf that through the golden calf they might talk to God. Many people today are demanding the same thing so they cling to their religious beliefs and doctrines.

Only problem is that God wants to have a loving personal relationship with each of us. He has made it possible for us to talk directly to Him anywhere and at any time we want to. He wants us to look upon him like we do our earthly fathers or the earthly father we wish we had. He wants to be a bigger part of our lives than our earthly fathers were while we were small children growing up. He wants to play and laugh with us. He wants to hold us when we are hurt and fix our booboos when we fall down. Our God wants more than anything to be our best friend and confident.

Our God hates religions because religions prevent or keeps us from having that personal relationship He so desperately wants to have with us His Creation. Our Heavenly Father wants us to have an unrestricted relationship with him like Adam and Eve had with Him before they fell into sin.

A prophet or man of God is one who is for the Church, not against it. He will do what the Lord will tells him to do concerning EDIFICATION, EXHORTATION AND ENCOURGAMENT TO ADVANCE THE KINGDOM OF GOD AND FOR THE EDIFICATION THE THE CHURCH. That is the lifestyle all of us needs to be leading.

A prophet is one who is for God's children, not against them. Why? Simple. The bible says who shall bring a charge against God's elect, but God is the one who justifies. And as long as it's called today and Jesus Christ is here, there is hope and encouragment for all. It's not over yet and I hope satan hears me loud and clear on that!

I encourage everyone to look to Christ for EVERYTHING, not a man who is claiming Christ and yet is telling a boldface lie straight from hell.

We need to pray and cover each other with the Word of God. Pray and take care, especially, of those who're baby christians, who're accustomed to the milk of the Word and not the meat.

James, after reading your blog, it is clear to me that the one who is deceived is you.
