YHWH then goes on to explain how to be holy.

I only now jumped in, reading last first..... This does not sound right. But it might be just perspective at this point today and now. (understanding this) ..... I'll go read the other posts for a minute, YHVH Willing. In Holiness. (yes, seriously) i.e. set apart in Him, set apart from the worldly , set apart from the worldly system .... honoring Him in thought, word, and deed as He Permits and Directs.

(CLV) Lv 19:3
Each of you shall fear his mother and his father, and you shall observe My sabbaths: I, Yahweh, am your Elohim.

Good. If someone dishonors their parents or Shabbat, they are not holy, indeed cannot be called holy at all.
