Battlefield Vietnam?

Question: Should I get BV? I already have ut2k4 and halo, both of which are incredibly fun to play. I could go for months and months on ut2k4....but I'm thinking about possibly getting battlefield vietnam, cause I've been hearing so much stuff about it. Too bad there's no demo....also, half life2.....when?

Half Life 2... Not for a long time.

But I enjoy BF:V. Since all the mods went over to it, I would say its a worth while purchase.

But I would suggest Far Cry if you have not had the opportunity to play it. Its a stunning game, I give it 9.2 on the Felron scale.

Get BFV, it's great fun. Also, get BF1942 if you don't already have it.

I heard FarCry takes an incredible amount of computer power....all I've got is 512 MB ram, with a 2.00 GHz processor.....

What kind of graphics card do you have, and how much video memory does it have?

512mb RAM and a 2.0 GHz processor is definitely good enough to play Far Cry, but it depends on what kind of graphics card you have.

It's a great game, not as good in gameplay wise as Battlefield 1942. But its still pretty awesome. I wouldnt suggest it if you have just a modem connection though. If you do get it be sure to pick up the new patch. Farcy can run decent with your specs.

I have a Mobility Radeon 9000 ---obviously a laptop.... good? Cause I was reading a FarCry review in PCGamer and they said you need a lot of processing power to get good results from the game.... also, anyone see battlefield 2 preview in this month's PCGamer?

9000? Meh..I don't think that's good enough for Far Cry or BFV(Well, maybe it'll work, but that doesn't mean it will run well)..how much video memory does it have?

Thats alright, very nice laptop card. It may have a little difficulty playing Farcry on high, but medium or low would be fine. But if your going to be on lower resolutions, and textures, ect.. I think BF:V would be a better purchase for you, seeing as you really wouldn't be able to appreciate FC on your system.

I had a 64 mb card. It didn't cut it for me, flying the jets was real stressing resulting in choppy lag and then a crash. I upragraded to a 128mb gforce fx 5200 and it just flys.
