  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

So great... Nightmare couldn't even handle him, could he? *grumbles about stupid insanely-powerful FF characters*

You really can't pit an RPG character against a non-RPG character in most situations, simply because of the scope of RPGs when compared to other games. FPS and action games allow some improvement, but the most is raising damage and learning new moves and at least getting better guns. RPGs on the other hand, you go from fighting rats and small wolves to massive dragons 100x your size at the least to gods at most. That and the way many RPGs work (expecially final fantasy games) is the characters can combine abilities to make them far more powerful than they were to begin with. That and secret super-powered abilities (like omni-slash. Very few get that attack their first time through unless they know about it) are added for replay value.
