i think they are equally important to music, but i picked beatles because i think they were more open-minded musically.

Page was a better guitarist than harrison or lennon.

I agree, but I should add that John Bonham is a better drummer (sorry Candice), and Paul McCartney is a better bass player. Vocals are split, they both fit each band's style.

The Beatles simply wrote better songs (which is of course highly debateable), and knew how to create better albums. Each of their albums is a separate masterpiece, with its own distinct flavor to it. Not many bands can say that.

If Floyd should have made it into the finals, I'd still vote for the Beatles. No one compares to them as far as popularity, or infamy.

And I don't even like them.

Note: When I said it should be Floyd vs. Zep, I meant Floyd should still be in the running, but in actuality I think the final two should have been Pink Floyd vs. The Beatles. For me the real finals was that semi-finals battle, and The Beatles won. I can at least respect that-- I don't think Led should be in the final two.

But i think the beatles were more creative. i mean, they wrote helter skelter, and on the SAME ALBUM, they also weren't afraid to put some sillier stuff like bungalo bill, or the Piggies song. With Zeppelin, there wasn't quite as much creativity.

Agreed, although I would consider there to be more depth in "Bungalow Bill" than "Helter Skelter".
