The Beatles. No question about it whatsoever. If you sell a billion albums you must have something going for ya.

At first glance this one seemed hard to me, The Beatles or The Clash, 2 of my all time favorite bands. But when I thought about it, I had to go with the Beatles. Every album they ever put out has a "magic" quality to it. There are few things in my life that puts a smile on my face quicker than The Beatles. So they get my vote

Beatles are way too overrated...

Maybe Ringo , but they were the first truly international superstar band to grace this earth, and thus deserve to be rated as they were. Their music has influenced too many of today's and yesterday's rock groups to count. Thus I rate them very highly, even if their pre 1965 stuff was a bit same-ish.

Ringo always was my least favorite Beatle, I don't know what it was. Maybe because he was the replacement Beatle.

He does cop a bit of possibly unwarranted criticism, but he was always the last Beatle when you mention the members of the group (John, Paul, George, Ringo). I don't know where I'd rate him on the drummer's scale, but he wasn't really blessed with the voice of an angel.

Ringo is far from overrated due to the fact that no one ever recognizes him, but he really wasn't a bad drummer.

Their music has always had the ability to pick me up no matter how down I am. I guess that could be described as a magical quality.

I think there may be a trouncing coming on.

Beatles. I grew up on them. I like the Clash but no contest.

I voted for The Clash since hardly anybody else was. Plus I'm not that hot on the Beatles.

Well... seeings how my father is quite possibly obesssed with the Beatles.. and I literally wasl istening to them before i was born
(Dad used to put the Beatles on, and put the headphones on my mum's belly so I could hear lol)
ANd Beatles are one of my fav bands regardless. I really think they opened the door to sooo much great music. I really think they contributed to what music is today.

Oh and btw- Ringo is soooooooooooo NOT overrated. RIngo was always my fav beatle

Shocked and chagrined, I am. That the best band ever - The Clash - has to go up against The Beatles, while Aerosmith sails by with Kiss.
