Taking a stand for children and innocent people that have been gassed is a good worthy thing to do.

This thing of late, the likely striking of Syria by the US, and then Russia striking the US in return, wouldn't that fall under rumours of wars at this point? And doesn't Jesus say be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet?

This thing of late, the likely striking of Syria by the US, and then Russia striking the US in return, wouldn't that fall under rumours of wars at this point? And doesn't Jesus say be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet?

1) Were there wars and rumours of wars before whoever wrote Matthew penned this? YES
2) Were there nations rising against nations and kingdoms against kingdoms before Matthew was written? YES
3) Were there famines, pestilences and earthquakes in divers places? YES

If they are the "beginning of sorrows" then the sorrows actually began way before Christ said this according to the author of Matthew. I guess you and I are kind of saying the same thing though. The recent rumors and wars are not Armageddon.
