  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

DH and I are going to be moving a month or two after the baby is born. The crib we want is really heavy and we (he w/bad back) don't want to have to drag it up and down the stair. Soooo, we need to get a bassinet.

Can anyone recommend a good one? We are pretty middle of the road folk. We don't want to pay too much, but we don't want junk either. When it comes down to it, we'd rather pay more for safety than go cheapo.

I was going to buy a bassinet but my neighbour has one she is going to give me which I'm thankful for. Also, my aunt is wanting to buy me a moses basket like you mentioned. She said that her step-daughter got one & they are the neatest & most convenient things. I think they got it from Babiesrus.

I have a Moses basket as well as a cradle. Honestly, the Moses basket looks soooo cool and is fun to use for the first few days, but it's not very sturdy, needs to sit On a table or bed or something (or it's on the floor)... Whereas the cradle gets Much more use since it's higher, rocks, is sturdy, etc. My babies stay small a little longer than the average, so I get a good 3 months of use out of the cradle easy. Since a cradle wasn't one of your options, I guess I'd go with a bassinet instead of a Moses basket....
