  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

You run 6.5 miles every morning? You'll be fine. Just make sure you do pushups and situps too. The first PT test I think is after 2 weeks, run.. 2 miles I think, and a bunch of situps and pushups (this information is on the navy website).

You should definitally be talking to your recruiter about what you should be doing. My suggestion is to complete the DEP book if you can. It will really prepare you, and up your paygrade. you definitally need to be physically prepared, but the more important thing is to be mentally prepared. Know your stuff, know the DEP book, don't get frustrated, do your best. Remember that it is all just a mind game, the RDC's are not there to get you kicked out o boot camp, they are there to get you through it, though it may not always seem like that.

Also, if you were told to bring anything to boot camp (clothing, etc), don't. You are issued everything you need. At most you should bring a bible (or other), address book, wallet with licenses, papers, etc, some cash (small bills are best), and a calling card. Other than that, it will either get sent home, or you will have no room for it. You will be issued paper, envelopes, and stamps, and everything else you will need.

Let me know if you have any questions about boot camp, feel free to contact me via one of the messengers, or post here.

God bless you guys. I'm nervous and having alot of feelings about my ability to get through boot camp-with the best foot forward. There's always good in people's advice.
