Not one person in this whole thread is talking about numerous Baptisms and what type they are.

The discussion is whether or not this guy should get Baptized as an adult, because he shows concern that the first on as an infant was not really valid knowing now what he does about Salvation and Baptism.

Who are you to tell him not to, he shouldn't feel pressured to not get Baptized because the CHURCH say it's valid, that is nothing more than an opinion of you have been taught to believe, it is not able to be documented from the Bible it's all an assumption on your part.

You just don't want him to possibly not belong to the Catholic Church any longer, well he apparently doesn't, God forbid if he become one of those Heretic Protestants.

The person you're addressing isn't Catholic. You do realize that plenty of churches other than the Catholic Church practice infant baptism, right?

I don't care what Church the dude belongs to. This discussion is about multiple baptism and since people seem to love heresy in GT instead of sound teaching do what you all want I am tried of people wanting to worship the individual. You do you

You are aware that the OP was raised Catholic right, that is what I was referring to.

Does that mean that those Denominations who do not, are breaking some kind of Spiritual law or something?

Calm down there Brother, your so angry you didn't even finish your sentence.

What is (to love heresy in GT instead of sound teaching) referring to I don't get the GT part, is it Good Times?

Sacramental churches, such as EO & OO, believe in the Nicene-Constantinople Creed. But they often require new members to be rebaptized. Is this the case in LCMS?
Not that I've ever seen. I know the Catholic Church only rebaptizes when there's some doubt as to the validity of the original baptism ie non-Trinitarian, in which case a conditional baptism is given.

No, but keep in mind that there is a difference between a church having a reasonable doubt about the validity of someone's (original) baptism due to a defect in the administration of it...and that which we read about all the time on threads like this one from people who say that a baptism of an infant is categorically null and void.

This is good to know.

I can understand this.

Some Orthodox denominations question the validity of baptism by sprinkling or pouring. This can invalidate a lot of baptisms.

...and that which we read about all the time on threads like this one from people who say that a baptism of an infant is categorically null and void.
Personally, I believe in infant baptism and in all methods of baptism except non-Trinitarian ones. And I believe in one baptism for the remission of sin. I think this is typical for Anglicans.

Oneness Pentecostals baptize in the name of Jesus only. But LDS's and JW's use the Trinitarian formula, albeit with a different understanding!

Only one baptism. You were a Christian when Catholic, Catholics are Christians and in fact that is part of this websites rules that Catholics are Christians. Any other baptism you get is just getting wet and means absolutely nothing.

The OP was not Catholic as an infant. Not even a Christian. Just a baby with wet hair. It meant nothing at the time because babies are not able to know Jesus. Water baptism is only for believers and commanded by Jesus, according to Scripture.

That is very wrong and part of the new religion. Real Christianity had been baptizing babies since the very beginning not like evangelicalism whom made a new thing by saying only believers get baptized. A lot of heresy and the idea that only believers get baptized is one.

Real Christianity is the Bible. If you want to talk about "real Christianity," you need to base your opinions on the Bible itself. The Bible is where I got my information that water baptism is for believers only and all believers are commanded to do it. What are you calling a new religion?

No the Bible just doesn't talk about believer baptism in fact whole households got baptized not just adults and Christ did not leave us a Bible but left us a Church. The problem is hat many if not most evangelicals worship the Bible and think everything is in there when it is not. The Church is the pillar and foundation of faith not the Bible further historically it has always been infant baptism until some yahoo decide to make Christianity in their own image, a new religion

If the church is above the Bible, why do we even have Bibles? Do you believe preachers are more truthful than God Himself? The Bible is God's Word. Churches are not.

This is not an evangelicalistic issue. It is a Biblical one. Show me where the Bible specifies water baptism is for people who don't have the ability to know who Jesus is and accept him as their Lord and Savior. If a verse only says "baptize" without the word water proceeding it, you can't prove it is water baptism for the little kids.

I was also christened catholic as a baby so therefore, to me, it doesn't count. I decided, two years ago, that I wanted to follow Jesus and not a religion. I was Baptised on 15th October 2017 and for me personally it was the best decision because I chose to follow Jesus, it was chosen for me as it was when I was 6 weeks old
