ok i have another question, today we had 7 people baptised at church (imersion) and 6 of them were youth from the church and then the other one is from sunday school, shes only like 10 or 11, do you think that this is too young to make a choise to live all your life for the lord?

I think anyone who is able to give a clear testimony of personal salvation and is able to articulate a clear understanding of the purpose of water baptism should be allowed to be baptized regardless of age.

Very cool. I was raised in a home where baptism wasn't considered important. Though I expressed faith at 5, my parents never suggested or recommended I get baptized. I made that decision at 13. Unlike most folks I wasn't ever rebaptized, thinking my baptism 'didn't take'.

It wasn't until several years ago that I feel my eyes were truly opened and what my baptism symbolizes was actually accomplished by God in my life.

5 wow thats really young..... i can hardly remember being 5

My parents were having a Bible study, and I came out in my PJs and asked if -I- could talk to -my- heavenly Father. My dad walked me thru a "sinner's prayer"... and then coached me on how to speak in tongues.

Twenty years later, after going thru a study in Galatians, I left the charismatic movement for a more standard Baptist view in the 'Reformed' tradition. I look back on the twenty-some odd years of my 'charismatic' life as a lesson in how Christianity is not supposed to work...

I'll tell ya more sometime.
