Hello.
I was brought to church by my parents from the time I was born, and was baptised as an infant. Thank God I was raised Lutheran. Went to Sunday School (was given a Bible for being the first one in my class to learn all the books of the Bible). Learned more than I thought I did or I wanted to in
Confirmation class. Pastor Elgert
was very thorough, and even though
I didn't appreciate it at the time he taught me the Christian faith.
After that went off to college and drifted. Studied many other faith traditions, Bahai, Zen, Hinduism, Calvinism, Pentacostalism, and a bunch of others. But even though they were interesting, they never filled me up. They all lacked something. They all wanted me to rely on me. But who am I and what could I do?
Finally got back into Confessional Lutheranism seriously. Nothing there which went against what I found in the Scriptures. Always focused on Christ. Today I'm content in the faith, but frustrated in life.
I see non-christians who need to be taught but are being taught badly. I see Christians who have been taught badly passing on their mistakes to others.
Have held many offices within the church, taught some classes too. Have passed on the faith to my children. Life is pretty good. Can't wait to die and be with the Lord.
