I know this is an old series - but my wife and I have just started watching it.

Really enjoying it. We're on Part 5 at the moment!

What did you think of it? I enjoy some of the camera effects and the general lack of gratuitous violence and gore (compared with say Black Hawk Down).

Awesome series. My sis-in-law has it on DVD. I didn't really watch it all until about a year ago. My hubby watched it on HBO when it came out and I wish I would have realized how good it was.

Tom Hanks directed it, right? He is amazing in his promotion of remembering WWII vets.

Awesome show. I saw it on the History Channel. I haven't ogtten the DVD yet simply because I have too many DVD box sets laying around that I haven't had time to watch.

You guys who liked BoB should really check out Boomtown if you get a chance. One of the writers from BoB created the show and some of the actors are the same.

It was Tom hanks and Steven Speilberg - what a combo!

I just wish DVD's were cheaper here in South Africa. All imported and really expensive. Especially boxed sets. We only get C-grade kung fu movies cheap and pirated copies from the East which are really poor quality and promote organised crime - so we stay clear of them!

One of my favorite war 'movies' - I know it's a miniseries.

I have the DVD box set and we at least part of it once a month. My favorite ep is Caretan (sp?).

I watched the series on History Channel and went to purchase the DVD set as soon as it was available. I don't think I could pick a favorite other than the "We Stand Alone Together" disk. It was awesome seeing the real men who dropped into Normandy, faught in the Battle of the Bulge and secured the Eagles Nest (I've spent the night at the Bertchesgardener Hof - and the facade presented wasn't it) offer their comments as more than just the intros to the episode.

BoB is my favorite show/DVD in production.
