Band Name

Help!!! I am in a christian rock band that plays mainly contemporary praise. We recently went through several changes and we're needing a new name. If anyone could help me on this, i would really appreaciate it. We've got lots of shows lined up and no name. . thanks

Take a bible and do the old random page turn and finger point a dozen times and pick the best.

Always do it more than once because last time we did it the first name we came up with 'daughters of zion' and we are an all guy band.

My band came up with Christians with Attitude.....and we just thought of something catchy and neat....but we still aren't final on our band name.....anyways looking in the Bible is a good idea.....and about shows....I can hook you up with some tour dates and you will be handling about 60 to 80 teens and will be payed about 160 to 240 dollars per show....and this is a Saturday night thing......and they're looking for bands to play christian rock...PM me for more details.....and if you're still looking for a band name.

I like seeking God first...Pray, give it to God, and see(seek) the door being opened to you.(Matthew 6:33). I love finding out the radical names in the old testament books. Wheweee, I'm sure God will lead you to the name. God never fails. He is the same yesterday, today, and foreever.

Get a name with fish in it. Loads of christians bands are called something with 'fish' in it.
Examples, 'Fish Hook' , 'Small Fish'.
But you cant have those names cos they are taken by irish bands. But names with fish in it are cool i think.

I was in an all girl trio kinda rock(ish christian band (still am, when the drummer comes back from her gap year volunteer work every now n then!) We called ourselves 'Iddo' in Hebrew it means 'God's Band', 'Power and Praise', So we figured it suited the job description quite well! Although we liked 'Cede' (pronounced Seed) as in taking the mustard seed story etc. We wanted summin subtley related that could be described in more detail at gigs - So we picked Iddo.

I dont know how that helps you, i guess you could try some hebrew translation of something! But the page turning ieda sounds quite cool. 'Eden' would be a cool name but thats probs taken, or you could do the whole double barrel type thingy n go for something like 'Godsung Revelation' (no idea where i conjured that from, but free to use it if it suits you lol). But for a rock band you probs want summin short n to the point.

I just saw the name of a random gospel song -- "Dance Like Sunday" -- it's by a group called "Trin-I-Tee" -- how about "Dance Like Sunday" for the name of a band? (well, I like it -- if you don't take it, I might *wink*)

There's actually a lot of small bands that do that kind of thing, it's sad.
