Does anyone else have interest in ballroom dance? I've been in a few competitions.

Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Ive always wanted to do ballroom dancing. It looks intresting to me. So elegent so graceful.

It's a lot of fun. Unfortunately, it's also an expensive hobby. I'll post links to a couple cool competition videos sometime soon.

I was a professional ballroom dancer!! It was so much fun. Now I am doctor and love to treat dancers because I understand their mindset.
It is an expensive hobby, but sometimes colleges will offer classes or the YMCA. It's a good and inexpensive place to start. The videos are good, but it's always easier to learn from a live person in a class. Classes are also a fun way of meeting other people.
The music is so wonderful for ballroom and once you get hooked, you always want to dance!!!

ballroom dancing ?! yes! love it. the group of people that get together here range from 16 to 70. its a great deal of fun and its a beautiful expression of dance. for me,its only a few times per month due to my schedule but well worth it. have you seen the film Shall We Dance? this films bound to get people curious about ballroom dancing!

I saw the Japanese version of Shall we Dance (it's the original one).
Very entertaining. Another entertaining movie is Strictly Ballroom -- it's directed by the same person that directed Moulin Rouge.
