Bahá'ís believe that there is only one God, the Creator of the universe. Throughout history, God has revealed Himself to humanity through a series of divine Messengers, each of Whom has founded a great religion. The Messengers have included Abraham, Krishna, Zoroaster, Moses, Buddha, Jesus, and Muhammad. This succession of divine Teachers reflects a single historic "plan of God" for educating humanity about the Creator and for cultivating the spiritual, intellectual, and moral capacities of the race. The goal has been to develop the innate noble characteristics of every human being, and to prepare the way for an advancing global civilization. Knowledge of God's will for humanity in the modern age, Bahá'ís believe, was revealed just over one hundred years ago by Bahá'u'lláh, Who is the latest of these divine Messengers.

The Bahá'í Faith is the youngest of the world's independent religions. Its central theme is that humanity is one single race and that the day has come for its unification in one global society.

Yes I can see how people would get sucked in to this , it sounds like a utopia .

But unfortunately they only have jesus as one of many prophets .

I don't think I will be joining up with this lot . LOL

They are a very strange bunch with a bunch of very diverse and radical beliefs... we attended (by accident no less) a meeting of theirs once... stayed for a couple hours listening to speeches.... chatted afterwards... kind of just ran into the event at the park one day... they had balloons all over the place so of course my daughter who was about 3 1/2 at the time had to go running that direction...

Kind of reminded me of something... not sure what, late 60's early 70's radicalism sort of... the way they spoke, the poems and stuff they read...

wishy washy beliefs... all over the place.

They place Jesus as just another prophet alongside Muhammad and anyone else who has come along, they have their own prophet too if I remember corrcetly, he supposedly showed up in the mid 1800's... something like that.

attend one of their events, you'll see what I mean. If you have even an ounce of true desire for Jesus, you won't go back. Guaranteed.

I should probably add, because it was my impression, that they were the saddest bunch of lost religious folks I had ever met... truly, they left me feeling that way... out of every denom I have ever met, these guys really do take first place for 'lost'.. and sad too, they were just a really sad bunch... there were about 100+ of them there that day, we also run into Bahai's now and then, we live in a pretty good size city...

hi i am a baha'i, but i am very interested in christianity also. i just signed up a minute ago how r u all :) this is my first post...

baha'is believe that Jesus was the only begotten son of God. the baha'i faith is the second (or first) fastest growing religion in the world depending on how you look at it (percentage or actual numbers).

the banned member above said that baha'is are radical and wierd etc... not really though, baha'i writings have said not to be radical specifically. we believe in independant seeking of the truth, as most religions even christianity have stated one should not blindly follow what other people say, but investigate religion for themselves.

the faith is only around 160 years old, but growing very fast, basically we believe that every messenger from God came for a reason and that there are three 'onenesses' they are the oneness of God, the oneness of Mankind, and the oneness of Religion.

baha'is do not deny Jesus' message at all we completely believe in Jesus.

If you have any more questions post them here or message or email me... take care
