Bad Santa

I had the oppurtunity to watch the movie Bad Santa recently. I had heard a lot of hype about it and thought it would be a great movie to watch. While many people probably won't agree with me, I was really dissapointed with it. Watching that movie was as bad as catching a few minutes of an episode of DeadWood on HBO in the sense that they cuss so much you wonder if you'll ever hear a "conversationally" decent word. Then again, that's me and I can be really picky at times.

I did see it and I did enjoy it, but I'm a Billy Bob fan. I really think it's a generation thing, I saw it on opening night and there were a mix of older people and just old enough to get in. When I saw it I was laughing like crazy, the way BBT delivers some of the lines and Bernie Macs character was just too funny. But, I was the only one laughing, I was laughing so hard my girlfriend got embarrassed.

It was a Terry Zwigoff film and it showed. The Coen brothers produced it and you could see thier influence in it also. I wouldn't recommend this for everyone, especially anyone offended by cursing. But that aside it did have some touching moments, done it an off beat weird way.

An interesting side note, it was the top "Holiday Themed Film" killing the Cat In the Hat. But anything was better than that.

I love this movie. I got 'Badder Santa'. After I saw the movie, I wanted to buy a Santa suit and go look for Lauren Graham.
