There is a pain within my soul
That I hide so carefully

I left my Comfort
I left my Peace
But I know He never left me

He stands here waiting
Holding me tight
Waiting for my prayer
He'll make it all right

He has shown me how
to live in Light
But I fought against Him
both day and night

Sadness, hurt, endless
Shame
All of these feelings I am to
Blame

Forgive me Jesus
and please give me Sight
And I will walk straighter
with all of Your might
