  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Alright so as many of you probably guessed, I didnt manage to get pregnant last month.

But today my "friend" was supposed to come, and usually he is spot on, so I am going on a limb and saying I very well could be! I guess if my friend or any symptoms that my friend is coming do not show up by morning, I will take a test.... please pray for positive... and please pray for twins!! (one boy and one girl to be exact!)

Just thought I would keep you all updated! :)

Well the test this morning is very saddening. It said negative. But I still have no "friend" and no signs of it coming.

:(

I am really getting frustrated. I never realized how frustrating this is. And It makes me feel inadiquate. I mean, poor dennis. All he ever wanted was to marry me and have kids. But what if I cant have kids?

I am kind of down today, sorry for the doom and gloom, this should be a happy forum.

Wow you are very specific in what you want aren't you? haha

Don't get yourself down, it took my husband and I 7 months to conceive. I totally understand that disappointment and inadequate feeling, I was there month after painful month. However, now I look back and realize the Lord was working at preparing my husband and I for all the fun...and not so fun :p of pregnancy and getting ready for a new addition to our family. Just remember the Lord is on His throne, He is in complete control and his timing is PERFECT!

Thanks I needed that little kick in the you know where.

And no I am not really that specific, I would be happy with whatever the Lord blesses me with. But I know I am going to have a boy, so if it is twins then I get the hope of a girl! :)

I was two weeks late when I found out I was pregnant with my daughter, after 4 negative tests.

BTW I also pray for twins with this one.

Also have you been stressed lately, gotten off any hormonal birth control? These can make your period late.

I havent taken birth control in over three years, just to make sure when the time came I would be ready!

I have survived three years of horrendous cramps and enormous amounts of pain during that time of every month, just so I could be ready to have babies when the time came. I just hope I didnt do something wrong and now I am not able to have children.

What about hubby? Does he keep his health up to keep those swimmers happy? Helps if he wears loose undies or goes commando, keeps the little guys from getting to hot. (studies are undecided, but once my hubby went commando things picked up in odds for us) Showers shouldn't be like hot tubs and saunas either. (Immersion of the testicles in hot water is a form of birth control in some cultures- and effective) Any smoking, caffeine and drinking needs pared back. Making sure you both get enough foods high in folic acid and zinc can be helpful too. (Here is a link to info on Sperm count)

Relax and have lots of fun making love. Sperm live 48 to 72 hours, the egg lives 24 hours, so frequency helps increase the odds. :)

LOL! My husband drinks so much coffee and smokes and we are on baby #5. I figure it's all so random!

Sperm can live far longer than 72 hours in the presence of fertile mucous in the woman. If you have a chance check out the Billings Method website- it has lots of very intersting information about the importance of the woman's fertile mucous. If you're a nerd like me it's really amazing!
