I just don't get it, i want to believe bad but I always have doubts,

few things, i guess back in the days the roman empire basically reworte the bible, so basically its all wrong, and from their it was wrote how they wanted it.

i don't know this for a fact but i have been told it and it sounds like the truth.

also if you can't see it how do you know?

im in a small town and i deel with these people all the time, and it really annoys me cause i will be in church and see someone who goes every sunday and is all smiles in church then out side is a alcoholic and cheats on his wife and stuff and i can't help but judge people.

i don't know, sorry for this rant, ive just been trying to get back into it but i have a few major things that im trying to get over.

im just wondering some of your guys thoughs,

also by the way if you guys know any other facts or things that bother people trying to get into church mention them and tell me your opinions and things you know on other issues cause i know theres a lot im forgeting right now.

thanks

Why not research it? Try to find a valid source showing that actually happened. "sounds like the truth" isn't good enough.

(ps, it isn't true)

I'm a dirty sinner too, for what its worth. Don't build your faith on us, just Jesus. We aren't perfect, only he is. We are called to try to be perfect, but none of us will measure up to perfection since Jesus ensured us that he alone is perfect.

Good luck on your studies and faith decisions. It's good to challenge everything you find and read. People have challenged Christianity for 2,000 years. It can stand up to scrutiny, so don't be afraid to dig in to it.

How does a person know? The Holy Spirit, plus years upon years of accepting by faith the unknown things. Praying that the Holy Spirit will gently and lovingly pull you to Himself and reveal the truth. Welcome to the OBOB.

That being said, the Catholic Church did NOT re-write the Bible. When I have some time, I'll try and answer this in more depth. I have to get going to Mass.
