• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

It seems to work hit or miss. Sometimes it feels like it works great and at other times it seems to feel like it doesn't do much. Whenever I take it, however, I do need to take much more than the recommended 4 drops. I heard you can get it without the alcohol. You also can put the tincture in hot water and the alcohol will evaporate.

I would suggest others try it and post your results here. So far I think it is worth what I paid for it. The results may not be as immediate as a drug based tranquilizer, but it seems to be somewhat effective.

Just received the White Chestnut Bach Flower formula yesterday. I must say, I noticed a difference after taking it right away and am starting to become a believer in these. The White Chestnut is labeled as "encourages a peaceful and calm mind when thoughts and worries go round and round in your head". I noticed an effect the first time I took it. I also notice no side effects and it doesn't seem to interact with my meds too. I also ordered the Gorse variety and am going to try that.

I have OCD and the White Chestnut was recommended for that. So I am hoping for a dual purpose in treating my OCD and anxiety. So far, so good.

I bought these on Amazon and the price wasn't too bad. Just be aware that most have an alcohol base so if that is a problem for you, you can just add the drops to hot or warm water to dissipate the alcohol.

I understand. The main thing I have appreciated about the Bach Flower Remedies is I have experienced NO side effects so far and am actually feeling better than I have in a very long time. My depression is finalling lifting some, and while I know that God, as well as my couselor haved helped immensely with this, I do feel the Bach Flower Remedies are amazing in how they affect my mood and thought process. I am starting to feel my pre-depression "normal" self again. I truly believe God has lead me to these in order to help me.

But I do agree with erring on the side of caution with most alternative remedies, especially when mixed with traditional pharmaceuticals.
