  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

My son is one year and has 6 teeth, four on the top in the middle, two on the bottom in the middle. What teeth are next? I think he may have started teething yesterday based on the way he is acting, should I expect the next two middle bottom teeth or is it the first molar.... are there any websites that say?

It's the next 2 bottom teeth, they'll mirror his top 4 teeth. Next are the "eye teeth" or the "pointy" ones, then first molars (closest to the front of the mouth), then finally the 2 year molars...which Andie didn't get until she was a few months shy of her third birthday!

Here's a link I found that might have more info for you:http://www.babycenter.com/refcap/baby/babydevelopment/6574.html

Here's a quote from that article on the order:
Teeth sprout one after another, and often — but not always — in this order: first the bottom front ones, then the top two middle ones, then the ones along the sides and back. Tooth development is hereditary, so if you or your partner got your teeth early, chances are your child will, too.

I thought they were called I-teeth... incisor teeth....??? Somehow I thought those were skipped.

 I'm sure that's right..."eye teeth"???

Nope, they aren't skipped and I've heard those can be more painful than the others, although Andie had the worst pain with her molars.

Incisors are actually the front teeth, the 4 on the top and bottom. "Eyeteeth" are the canines or cuspids between the incisors and the molars. My daughter often cut her teeth in pairs. First came the 2 bottom central incisors then the top. Then the 2 top lateral incisors then the bottom. Then she cut all 4 of her eyeteeth around the same time then it was onto the molars.

Those eye teeth are also called the stomach teeth because alot of babies get sick when they cut them. My daughter had a rash on her face, diaper rash because of diareah, kept on puking and a high fever because of these teeth. My son who didn't have teething problems as bad did have a fever and got sick with these too. So watch out if they are cutting these teeth.

My son has the top and bottom four, the molars and the ones beside them but only has 1 "vampire" tooth. He is teething those right now. Nathan woke up 4 times last night. Poor baby! He also cut his teeth in pairs. He has 3 teeth left to cut.

They also fall out in the same order they cut them in. My daughter is losing hers. The bottom front was first and the one beside it is next.
