  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I'm assuming they didn't register so you have no ideas there. How about gift certificates to a local take out place so they don't have to cook after the baby is here? A gift certificate for a massage or something for mama to treat herself after baby arrives. Might wanna make sure they're valid for a year or so cos I know that I wouldn't have wanted to leave my baby when she was really small but it would have been a nice gift to have. A gift package to get photos of her newborn baby done? You can never have too many photos of your baby :D.

I love the idea of a picture package. There is a great photo studio around here (I'm in SE Michigan) that does very inexpensive sessions that look great! That would be an amazing gift.

Another great gift idea for those talented people who can do such things are homemade gifts A hand made afghan or baby quilt are always treasured and can be used!

When all else fails, it's great to get gift cards to the store they are buying baby furniture at to go towards a dresser, changing table, crib, bassinet etc.

I like suprise gifts. I don't intend on registering..I aready have everything basic-crib,monitors,etc. I'd love just love to have someone crochet a baby blanket or little hat. I know most of my girl buddies know I love knitted-crochet garments. I think they're making our baby the special stuff that will be heirlooms. Also,I'd love someone to get me a baby frame.Music..stuff like that. Stuff my friends already know about.
