There are many children going home wrapped in newspapers in South Africa, so we've started making up boxes of baby things for the clinic in SA but we need more help. A wonderful project. How are you sure the baby items get to the babies and their mothers? We had a real problem in Haiti with donated items being sold in the markets. The items were never given to their intended targets. I now give to more 'personal' charities in which the items go directly to an intended orphanage or clinic rather than a middle man (even large, well-known groups are only as honest as their most dishonest volunteer or employee).

I didn't click on the link so it might very well be explained there. I'll be interested in finding out more because I am really hopeful that I may one day be working in or opening an orphanage in Africa.

yup they are going to an intended clinic - we are in contact with the people in Africa who are organising it and I can assure you the website is 100% safe. The website it organised by a christian who i am very good friends with.

When brinny said that the original post was 11 years old, in the post right before your last one, I'm betting she meant that by this time, that whole thing is now defunct and and long gone. Sorry you've been working so hard for something that looks like it no longer exists. I hope you can find a current place to bless with your efforts.
