Forum: Embers Wake
Name: Ayla Epston
Gender: Female
Age: 18
Apperence : She is about 5'6 in height. Her light skin, long wavy golden hair, and Dark blue eyes make her "appear" perfect for court life.
Personality:
Ayla is reserved. She is quiet , but not shy. She is opinionated, but will not speak her opinon without good reason. Being Anti social has given her a bad reputation, but she is not selfish not arrogant.
History
At a young age Ayla was left with no mother figure and almost no father figure either. Her mother died when she was young, leaving Ayla to her father, Lord Epston. Being a busy man, Lord Epston had little time to raise his only child and gave Ayla's care over to the maids, servants, and tutors.
This left Ayla to do whatever she felt fit in the earlier years of her life. There was no expectations, and very little formalities. Often retreating from company and turning down event invitations she became known as a rude, unmannered and just a strange girl. Often, she would spend time secluded in the small garden under it's one tree and read the day away.
When Ayla turned 17 her father began to try to correct what he perceived his only mistake was. He confined Ayla to the house and forced her to attend to her studies. Of course this did not go over well at all, and Ayla became bitter at her father for taking away her freedom. She became rebellious, where she had once been secluded and peaceful. Her whole presence changed and this only worsened her reputation, which was now well deserved.
As the year of "correction" went by and as her 18th Birthday approached, Ayla began to take more interest in in her studies ( this was only because she had nothing else to do). As Her father would attempt to build a relationship between them, he would talk to her about the only thing they had of common interest. Politics.
Ayla's small interest in politics grew as she listened to her father. She began to look forward to their debates and conversations- and she hated him for it.
Right before her birthday her father dissapeared on some unknown erron. Almost a month latter he still has not returned.Being lonely and unattended , she decides to escape and explore the city. Only later that day is she quite suddenly informed of her fathers death almost a month beforehand. Ayla has been left no inheritance and the nobles split her estate among them selfs, leaving Ayla with nothing except a her fathers dagger ( which she "stole" from the house.).
Abilities and past times:
Living in a city, Ayla does not have the opportunity to spend time in nature as she wishes she could. She wishes she could be more active, but she is always stuck inside so this is not a possibility. She is able to read, write, embroider, and paint. The most special thing Ayla possesses is will power. She could accomplish just about anything if she wanted to. She does not give up, and whatever she needs to do to accomplish her goal, she will do is. She does not back down easily.
