My youngest boy is going to the AWANA games this weekend. I was wondering if anyone has been to the games. I think they are called AWANA Olympics.

(AWANA is youth group at my church: Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed)

I have never been and I was wondering what it was like?

AWANAGames are fun, wild and exciting. :) I played in the games as a clubber and have coached for 5 years also.

Sparkys will play in Spark-a-Rama 10 games and TNT clubbers plays 10 different games. If you have a Sparky the Sparky crawl is fun to watch. If you have any special questions just PM me.

You can find out about AWANA at their website:

At the Awana Games you will experience what your child has been doing each evening at Awana Club. There wll be an opening ceremony, recitation of the key verses for the club, an extremely exciting game time, featuring competition between Awana clubs, and there will be a gospel message.

I have been working with Awana for 20 years, and the Awana Games have always been the highlight of the year for the kids.

We just got back and it was AWESOME! Tiring but great. The kids in our group cam in 3 or 4 place. One group of our girls (we had enough girls to have a separate group and another church canceled) came in second! However, it had been a long day and they stepped down from the finals. It was wonderful!
