These basically came about because I finally decided to read through the gimp Manual and these are the results of just playing about. enjoy.

The first Metal Cross design (third one along in first post) I liked but it is very dull looking and not very metallic, so after finding a good tutorial on the web for creating metallic letters, I applied the techniques to the Cross design (fourth one along in first post).

I'm very pleased with the results.

I like the last one you have there. It gives me the impression of the light seperating the darkness below.

Are you able to do one thats wooden in appearance? I have a cross a teacher brought back from Jerusalem that she gave me. It's made of wood, and the dark streaks in the woodgrain look like blood stains.
