zula-chan certainly seems like the stuck up, materialistic, preppy, rich girl type. yet she's pure evil so things even out. but the avatar state usually only comes out when aang-kun wants to protect someone, if anyone's a villain it's the fire lord ozai-sama himself.

I think Azula is a sociopath. but I blame Daddy.

Now that I think of it, During that dream of Zuko's in the last episode I thought he looked like a girl (long hair and no scar threw me off) and now I think the family resemblance was far more apparent between him and Ursa than Azula and Ursa. Heck, even Mom was like "what is wrong with that child."
