DESCRIPTION: At'uri is a powerful and fiery young woman who is a bit too outspoken for her position. Her mother passed away when she was young, and she has been raised by her father, a high stateman , who is an ageing man, and she feels it is his time to release his position to her. She is constantly chided for speaking out when it is her time to keep quiet, especially when a friend of her father's says something that she disagrees with.

At'uri wants to change things. She sees those who live in poverty being treated like vermin while people like her father live their whole lives in luxury. She feels that people like her father do noting but care about themselves and look down on those who are not like themselves. Although she herself has grown up in luxury, she seems to have hated every minute of it. She prefers to spend time with the commoner's philosophers than that of her father's stature.

At'uri is very strong-headed and cannot be persuaded to think any differently than she already does. Though she has drawn many suitors she turns them all away, thinking them to be too stupid and foolish.

At'uri has few friends and many enimies in the high courts. People adore and respect her father, yet look down on her with an image of youth and foolishness, though she is not foolish in the least. She is a very smart girl, who pays close attention to everything around her, which sometimes causes her to get into trouble.
