I do not know how christians churches
officially handle it. Maybe they disapprove.
On the
local level (pastor) the risk for the average state church christian here to be censured for it is probably null (most of them never visit the mass anyway

).
I think nudity in public does not have anything to do with christianity in the first instance.
I agree.
Just an interesting story for you, Johnnz, that might give you an idea:
Most people here read the paper "Bild", the biggest german daily with a lot of pictures in it.
I believe by american standards it would be soft porn. In each issue are about four topless girls and lots of additional nudity (the whole paper has about a dozen pages).
You can buy "Bild" here in every big store or gas station. Many family dads and moms buy it in the morning, even my catholic grandma and some catholic friends buy it. It is the family newspaper.
Much to my agnostic/atheist displeasure

the same newspaper some time ago campaigned for the "Voksbibel", a cheap bible for everyone.
There was also a series of articles about the importance of the bible and christianity for our culture next to a half nude woman.
Talk about odd...
I think it is safe to assume that the average german state church christian sees no strong link between nudity and religion.
