 HI!!

I am excited about attending a Baptist church this coming Sun. This would be my first visit to the Baptist Church community. I moved from a very large Catholic community to a large Baptist community about 3 yrs ago. I was a catholic too.

Ive been back & forth on whether to leave the catholic church for sometime now. I never fully embraced catholicism. Its been a difficult decision to leave, but I feel the Lord has plans for me elsewhere. You will see me peeking around this forum, so I wanted to introduce myself. Its nice to be here!

Do you have links to baptist websites? Thanks Leah:yum:

Welcome to B/A and I am happy to hear about your decision.

The above link is pro KJV only. I personally dont reccomend getting to involved with that.

That being said, here is an interesting site www.justforcatholics.org and also I would reccomend you to www.albertmohler.com and www.bible.org
Im not big on websites but these 2 have come in handy from time to time.

Welcome, Katesmom!

Here's a link to the Southern Baptist Convention http://sbc.net/ I'm not sure if you're going to attend a SBC specifically, but there's a link to the Baptist Faith and Message http://sbc.net/bfm/default.asp which explains the beliefs of the SBC. The core beliefs are pretty standard across most other "flavors" of the Baptist church. It might help you if you have some questions about the beliefs of the Baptist church. Different types of Baptists have different ideas as to how we should support missions, what version of bible we should use, and some other things like that. But the really important topics like Salvation will be the same across the different subsets of the Baptist faith.
