Attacked by demons in dreams..

Hi all. I was hoping someone could help me through this.

Over the past year, I have had dreams where I was casting out demons and people were casting out demons from me. I feel I just have to add that.

Now a few months after I was born again, I had these horrible dreams where its like an altered reality, like out of body experience.. One of them that I remember was this one time, I dreamt I was running around inside of my house, being chased by a demon. After a few laps I just suddenly stopped and turned around to face it. He came up to really close, his face was 7 inches or so from mine. Then I woke up.

After that, I have had dreams where demons would just attack me, do all sorts of things to me, speak horrible things into my head. Stand around me, all of them around me in a circle, all black.When I would wake up, I felt all weak and weird. I was sweating uncontrollably. All wide eyed. After this, every night I pleaded the Blood of Jesus over my body, and these dreams stopped.

Last week Thursday night (13 July), I prayed and didn't plea His blood. Friday morning I was attacked again. I had to force myself to wake up, and when I woke up. My whole body was rushing like wave of pins of needles, going from my head to my toes and back again. My body felt sick and ravaged. Sweating again. The demons were saying their usual cussing and evil things (in my dream), but when I woke up it was still in my head. But just the sound of their voices freaked me out.

That night, Friday night. Just after I prayed and was going to sleep. I could feel this prickly feeling, sort of like a spider walking on my face. I knew it was a demon.I started say, the Lord rebuke you!. And I could sense it was getting upset. I said again, the Lord rebuke you! It still wouldnt go. I then said, it is written, I will give you authority to walk over serpents and scorpions, it is written that in My Name they will cast out demons. In Jesus Name leave me! Then I felt pins and needles again. Like a circle going around my face at the back, like behind my ears. I felt this pins and needles feeling going from my ears forward through my face to my nose then out. Its like if you lie on your back, and put a facecloth on your face, and then you pull it up from the middle of the cloth.

I wonder why this is happening to me. Some Christians think that the spiritual world is sooo far away. But I know first hand its very real and I want to stay in the Lords protection forever. I know that when a person sins, they give demons legal grounds to them. But my question is, why is it so real to me and to others its barely anything? And how do I put (with the Lords help) an end to this once and for all?

It's like having a serious habit with something like smoking and just being put in Jail not allow to smoke, it's like taking something your so use to and nailing it to the cross and it's just not liking it.

The dream could mean the world still is trying to keep you for it self and doesn't want you to go to be with Jesus, now the next time you dream, in your dream call out for Jesus and try not to do anything your self because you can't but Jesus can when you call out to him and he will come and you will not have these dreams anymore. I know for I have had almost the same thing happen to me (place your faith on Jesus) like your walking on a cliff and you step off the cliff but there isn't a floor but there is one but just hidden like in that moving india Joans moving ( a step of faith ) so be it the same while with in your dream let go and allow Jesus to do what you can't.

Ok this is freaky. As you can see I posted the first message at 12:30am. After that I read the forums a bit and then I went to bed. I plead the Blood of Jesus before I went to bed right. So at 6am I was awoken to a demon. I could feel it was very weak. All it could say to me was "what are you doing?" When I woke up, I prayed "I plead the Blood of Jesus over me, and Father I know that wherever there is Blood, you honor that. I claim that in faith in the name of Jesus" Then I went back to bed.

Now what happens next is a rollercoaster ride. I dreamed that my best mate (whom I've known since I was 4) and I were fully man and also fully angels. I remember us flying in the mall, my mate was in front of me.We were flying with a speed, supposed to be somewhere? While we were flying, there was a demon behind me,chasing us.That the people in the mall just stopped and looked at this. I was flying backwards now, facing the demon. I said,the Lord rebuke you, Christ rebuke you! And then this white ball of light come out of my body somewhere, and then hit the demon square in the chest and it fell down.

The scene that I can remember. Is that we were at a party I think, standing on the front porch of the doorway. I remember speaking to God like I have never experienced. Then the scene changed. We were running up a flight of stairs, and we could hear a woman screaming, like being attacked or something. We wanted to go and help her, but God told us not to, to continue running up the stairs. And so we did. When we got to the top. There was this woman in the parking lot. Now this woman, is the woman that hurt me in my life. Like, ripped my heart it out. Anyways, she was packing her car full of groceries, obviously she had been shopping.

I looked at my mate, he knew what had happened. So he went down, and started chatting to her. I didn't want to go down there but knew I had to. So I went down, started chatting to her. Ya was very unpleasant.

The next scene I remember, was that there was about 30 people standing in front of us. My and my mate looked at each other. Then we decided without speaking to each other, to reveal our true selves to these people. When then dropped our tops, and our wings expanded. We lit up like a light, God radiated from us. The people bowed down before us and then started worshiping us. I said, no, do not worship us. Worship the living Christ. That was the last scene in these dreams.

Were you ever...'touched'....as a child? Say...dropped on your head? That would explain a lot to me....your lying.

It sounds as if you are relying upon the Lord and winning the spiritual battle. You have a lot of faith. Keep growing in Him, it's all about Jesus.

Wow thanks....(Read my post "Dreams of Witchcraft"). I have been having a lot of dreams lately where my flesh is in a battle with external 'beings' or 'things' that are trying to pull me away from God and as I testify to belonging to God in my dreams, they still try hurting me...physically, typically. It's usually painful and I sometimes wake up 'feeling' the things they did to me and I wake up unsettled. I"m sick of these dreams, really. But thanks for what you said...it makes sense because the Lord, a number of times, has brought to my attention that I need to be more obedient and i've made some changes in my life lately that have called for more obedience so it makes sense why I'm having these dreams because satan no longer has control over these areas.

Hi Kuga,

Without knowing more of your background it's hard to have the full perspective of what's going on here. But let me give you what I think is going on. Of course, take it to the Lord for the final verdict.

A lot of times the Lord will use our struggles, including what we went through before receiving Christ, to launch us into our calling. We tend to want to just move forward, "Kumbaya" style, but the right way is to deal with whatever is on our plate. In the dealing, we not only win the victory now, we are equipped for the next level.

It seems to me that you are being prepared to be a leader in spiritual warfare. Not everyone has this level of this kind of combat. Those that do, however, become mighty according to the description Paul gives in 2Cor 10.

The critical thing is for you to know the perfect situational authority you have in Christ over the devil. All authority has been given to Jesus (Mt 28), and He turned right around and commissioned us to take that authority into the world, making disciples. Whatever ground Christ leads you to claim, you will have the power to stand firm and possess. The devil has been placed under Jesus' feet, and we as His Body are those very feet (Eph 1).

The two dreams show a happy progression. In the first, you are running from the devil, and having a very rough time of it. In the second, you still are running, but now you’ve turned around to face him – sort of a transitional, hybrid stance. And it ends well. Light emits from you and defeats him. (Reminds me of that great scene at the end of The Matrix.)

This is confirmed later, when you reveal yourself. When you know your authority in Christ, and take your stand in that authority, you will have power to defeat the devil, and to set others free. It all comes down to the revelation of who you are in Christ – it's a question of accurately knowing your identity in Him. Evidently the extraordinary speaking to God you did in the second dream represents the impartation of that revelation, and was the turning point for you.

The devil's greatest fear is that we will understand our elevated position in Christ. All the authority of the Throne Room of the universe is backing us up. The devils can't resist that, and they know it. Their only hope is that we won't find out.

The woman being attacked seems to represent soulical pain or fear that you need to put behind you in order to move up to the high position you have in God (running up the stairs). Perhaps the Lord is saying to turn your focus away from the attacks you have been experiencing, and focus on pursuing who you are in Him, and the attacks will take care of themselves. The woman in the lot may represent forgiveness issues that need to be resolved. Because it looks like you will be called back to minister God's light to people who have hurt you.

In the end, you’ve made a complete turnaround. You now are not running, you're standing and proclaiming. Remember, the gates of hell are a defensive weapon. In Christ, when we face them, those gates are not assaulting us, we are pulling them down. And we have been assured that they will not prevail against us.

So put on the full armor (Eph 6), and stand. Abide in the rest that comes from knowing who you are in Christ (Zech 4.6), and the devil will flee (James 4.7). It terrifies him.

When we are asleep that is when we are one at our most vulnerable moments. In my experience what helps is to spend time in the bible directly before bed and to also pray asking Jesus Christ to keep you safe also before going to sleep.

You are seeing exactly how demons operate, how they can influence persons to think evil thoughts and how they oppress people.

i had a dream of walking with jesus 8 years ago ? then i had a dream about this bright face it was is bright as the sun. it had a crown with jewels on it can any tell me wht this meant ?

Paul 1149 is right on! I had these dreams very often and posted some here. For me, I had been a luke warm christian for too many years. The devil liked me as I was, you know what I mean? God convicted my heart and showed me things I'd never seen, and completely opened my eyes to a bigger spiritual world aka the real world. I believe satan or his minions will deliberately attack us when new light is shown, to try to bring us back down, usually by means of fear. For a while these dreams and experiences of not being able to wake up really did freak me out. I'd say it hindered my walk with God. But it just takes one time. Stand up, realize you're the son of the MOST HIGH. Royalty that will not lose because our father says so. Anytime we read about the disciples or prophets, they never feared. This is a battle you WILL NOT lose because the God that breathes creation. The Alpha & Omega. He is who I fear... I will fear NO evil.
